El Dorado is a song which draws inspiration from 70's rock,  English guitar phrasing and Latin American Percussion, sitting nicely in the seat of 'yacht-rock'. The song has a beat that 'walks along' with the story through melodic bass. Lyrically what began as a ballad about the give and take nature between men and women, scripted through metaphor of the 'Road to El Dorado', became a cathartic contemplation on selfishness and sacrificing one's identity to become an idealized version of the self.
