Opening set of the Joherder 2025 festival, mashups and my edits of tracks everyone knows to get the party started. Many of the tracks were produced by WBBL one of my favorite funky mash up artists and I borrowed a transition from him towards the end, so thank you. Joherder 2025 - Kitchen Disco Ravers

Had a bunch of fun jams this summer with my friend Eric whose stage name is Balls Cardwell. He plays keys. I joined him on synthesizer for this track. We tried "Someone Great" by LCD Soundsystem. We were joined by the talented WT on drums. Fun to try a techno synth rock anthem for the first time. Especially since I don't play keyboard and was tasked with provided the synth layer sound.

I was a founder member of the Karmatosed Sound System that ran a legendary night called Decompression around Hertfordshire and London in the 1990’s. I played out mostly techno but also Jungle / D&B, breaks and chill out stuff. I started making beats with a best mate on a knackered Atari, cubase v1.5 and some basic hardware and we released one techno / breakbeat/ proto drum and bass 12’ as Aengen which got airplay from Carl Cox and Laurent Garnier amongst others. This was probably my 15 minutes of fame and we did a number of live sets at the time in and around London and got interest from the music press at the time. After our club night burnt to the ground, literally, I moved to Leeds and did my own thing releasing a few CD’s through local record shops in Leeds. In recent times I've rediscovered DJing, mainly in Leeds but also playing at small festivals across the country. Raised on the gritty, hard and mean streets of a private, luxurious tropical island in Turks and Caicos, LaStrange IS an oxymoron, sans oxy, but doubled up on the moron, delivering grimy, drug-addled post punk and indie rock tunes disguised as danceable disco delights on a fancy vintage silver tray covered in just the right amount of patina. It’s trash disco, mama!

As the son of a professional flamenco singer, Thomas has always been surrounded by music.  Exposure to flamenco influenced him because it has a dynamic range of emotions—from the "deep singing" style of cante hondo, to the more lively alegrias.  He has also worked in the corporate, independent, and online music industry for a number of years.  At one point he was a Content Manager for the Electronic Music genre at MP3.com, where he screened over 500 songs per day.  Exposure to a wide range of music explains the range of genres in his mixes—he uses whatever carries the mood.  From listening to Umm Kulthum's "Enta Omri" in his childhood, to New Wave and  Industrial as a teen, it became difficult for him to stick to one sound. Though vinyl was his original format of choice when he started in the 90s, the use of digital mixing has helped him better form soundscapes to expand your headspace.  Let him play with your moods for a spell.
