Kinnisvaraarendusettevõte Avalon ehitab Tartu mnt 44 aadressile LEED-sertifikaadi nõuetele vastavat äripindadega korterelamut. Selle teeb tähelepanuväärseks asjaolu, et Avalon on üks esimesi arendajaid, kes korterhoonele kvaliteedisertifikaati taotleb.

Avaloni juhatuse liige Kristjan Lood tõdeb, et arenduses on erinevad kvaliteedisertifikaadid nagu LEED ja BREEAM leidnud tunnustust finantssektoris läbi positiivsete rahastamisotsuste ja seeläbi jõudnud ka kinnisvaraarendajateni. Kuna Tartu mnt 44 hoones jagunevad pooled pinnad äripindadeks ja korteriteks, siis oli arendajal oluline taotleda majale LEED kuldtaset.

Greenmetrix’i tegevjuhi Kairi Nõuliku sõnul on arendajate seas aina populaarsemaks muutunud, et järgitakse rahvusvahelisi jätkusuutliku arendamise standardeid. Ühelt poolt aitab sertifikaat kinnisvara väärtust suurendada ja teisalt saavad omanikud üles näidata vastutustundlikkust, nii tulevaste elanike-rentnike vastu, kui panustada planeedi paremasse toimimisse. Nõulik toob välja, et vastutustundliku tegevusega jälgitakse samaaegselt hoone omaniku eesmärke, milleks on kvaliteetse elukeskkonna loomine ja raha teenimine ning ärilised eesmärgid.

Saates räägivad Avaloni juhatuse liige Kristjan Lood ja Greenmetrix'i tegevjuht Kairi Nõulik, milliseid nõudeid esitab LEED-sertifikaat kõigile arenduse osapooltele ning mille poolest erineb Tartu mnt 44 piirkonna teistest hoonetest.
