We now venture into Second Peter which has quite a different tone than First Peter. In this episode we hear the apostle Peter talk about his own impending death and offering his faithfulness as a model for steadfast Christian living. He then offers the 8 qualities of a mature Christian and how these eight qualities should be what every Christian strives for.
The two New Testament epistles ascribed to the Apostle Peter are lesser known by most Christians than the Epistles of the Apostle Paul. Some scholars believe that First Peter may have been written to young Christians and may have even served as a 'catechism' for those about to be water baptised. In this episode, we look at how Peter presents God as Father, Son, and Spirit, and how Christianity commences with becoming 'born again'. But this is not where Christianity ends - and that aged Apostle Peter gives instructions on how a new believer is to grow in the faith by exploring what the knowledge of God and HIs grace requires.

Brett and Jon met at San Francisco State University and started jamming in Jon’s apartment living room. Their musical chemistry led to the formation of Jamarage (jam+garage), with early sessions in Brett’s home garage in Los Angeles. Inspired by the music of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Tame Impala, and Jack White, they began gigging and writing original songs. They eventually both relocated to western Washington, where they embraced the region’s rich music culture and committed to pursuing their craft professionally.

Brett Hunt’s love for music began before birth, but his path with playing instruments was anything but smooth. He tried alto sax and keyboard in middle school, received a cheap acoustic guitar in high school, and barely touched it until college. At 20, he enrolled in a beginner guitar class, and by the end, his professor singled him out as someone likely to keep playing—he was right.

Jon Riley frequently states his first drumset was the dashboard and pedals of his car. Singing came naturally to him, encouraged by his parents from a young age. His instrumental journey began with the trumpet in middle school, but by senior year, he craved more musical freedom. After teaching himself how to syncopate his hands and feet on the dashboard of his car, he then bought himself his first drumset in college and never looked back.

His early years were enriched by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of the islands. At the tender age of 13, Paulo discovered his passion for music, immersing himself in the sounds of the piano, keyboards, and guitar. This early exposure laid the foundation for his lifelong love of music and set him on a path to become a multifaceted musician.

Paulo’s music is a rich tapestry woven from a wide array of influences. He admires legends such as Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Bob Dylan for their storytelling prowess, while also drawing inspiration from the melodic genius of Billy Joel and the powerful anthems of Journey and Van Halen. Furthermore, the innovative sounds of electronic pop icons like Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode can be felt in his work.
