Been messing around with a hell of a lot of production for the last couple months, thought I'd drop one of my dubplates with Ronin!

Some of the songs main elements are made from heavily processed samples from star wars, I heard the crazy seismic charge sound and knew I had to make it into a drop, see if you can spot any others too!

EP 147 - Use Your Brain!

So here we are once again with another installment of the Abstract Series_ Volume 3 but the 4th mix in the sequence just to keep you ten toes down. B. Helix and myself, Sw3rv3 decided to team up for this one and we've got something special and unique for you guys this week. It's a new year and we're approaching from a different angle just to keep things fresh. To start things off, We composed an original Electronica tune for the session titled 'Simulation Theory' which sets the stage for an abstract and multifaceted journey. Sw3rv3 starts us off with some techy vibes, working from back to front on this first section, leading with some of the heavier tracks of the 2 hour set, dropping a couple bangers and drum heavy tunes from Benny L and Soul Intent. Afterwards we fall into some aesthetics with airy electronica sounds by Inhmost. Following the break we roll into the 170 realm with various accents and energy. After the transition to Disc 2, B.Helix brings the listeners a different sound with the same abstract approach and similar style in sequencing. Utilizing various vibes, genres, and subgenres, He takes us on a ride thru laidback electronica sounds, driving tribal rhythms, spoken word, and smooth, artistic transitions between various spectrums of sound, closing the session with the airy and calm self produced track 'Velvet' (Available for free download here: https://on.soundcloud.com/kxaePkxPfNdEfqJL7 ). A truly talented artist of the craft and member of the culture. 

This two hour session came together well I think, Discs 1 and 2 compliment each other nicely, We hope you enjoy the story. Abstract Series_03 (B.Helix & Sw3rv3) 'Simulation Theory'

Greetings and happy Friday guys and gals. I've got a fresh volume of the Abstract series for you to kick off the weekend and as wifey gets closer to bringing us our newest addition to the family it may be my last session for a while. 

Didn't intend on this one, it kind of just happened. Those kind of mixes are usually the most fun for me as i'm sure most of our DJ friends out there can relate.

'Re-Imagination' starts off a little different from the other Abstract mixes with some high energy rollers and vocals, slowly descending into more diverse vibes as the session progresses. A lot of different flavors here; rollers, funk, jazzy, a bit of minimal, progressive, atmospheric, drumfunk, and electronica. A little something for everyone, with a section featuring 4 tunes from Dash off his new EP's as well as 3 tunes off of Sevin's Freebies LP. It's a fun mix and i think it expands the frame of the Abstract Series a bit, which has been a nice outlet for more diverse selections on the page.

Welcome back SSS fam and welcome to another journey of sound. Coming on the heels of Bennit's massive, hard hitting session from last week, I've got a new one for you to close us out this weekend. 

Spacewalk features a diverse selection, ranging from liquid and rollers, with a touch of soul grabbing vocal samples to throwback tunes, a bit of hip-hop and carefully chosen ambient joints to add some flavor as we come to a smooth landing through deep cuts of atmospheric jungle and drum and bass, finishing it off with some earthy electronica, all put together with a spacey vibe as the backdrop to the journey as a whole.
