This is a song I got the idea for years ago while on the phone with a good friend of mine.  We were talking about what all was going on that weekend, what we were going to do, where we were going, etc.  Toward the end of the conversation he made the statement, "no big deal, just a typical friday night around here."  I wrote this song within an hour of hanging up the phone.  It's your typical Friday night, party in the country, working' for the weekend, tune.  Nothing in this one that you have to think about really. . . just a fun rockin'-country song!  It's been our show opener for the last year.  Enjoy! - MC

Friday Night 'Round Here

Ok, so years ago I used to stop at this local convenience store every morning on my way to work for a cup of coffee.  And every morning the manager there, her name was Helen, as I recall, would ask me the same question. . ."You mean, you ain't made the big time yet."  Every day I would smile, shake my head, and say, "nope."  It finally hit me one day. . .that's a song title!  After work that night I went home pulled out my guitar and wrote Big Time.  Was fortunate to work on this song with the talented Michael Knox (Jason Aldean, etc.).  It's the only song on the CD recorded in Nashville, and it's been our show closer for the last year or so.
