OK! Now! I'm not sure how to sum up this track in a few words. My little sister is a jazz piano player who went to Berklee! She's got that Aimee Nolte vibe going on, you know, with the chord progressions and scales. She was really into this song I used for the project. I still remember her playing the piano upstairs at our parents' place. Those first bars are really sweet. I thought to myself, "I've gotta cop that and turn it into a trap beat." I asked her what song she was really eager to play, and she said, "Have You Met Miss Jones" by the McCoy Tyner Trio. I didn't have time to buy the vinyl, and these days every single song in the history of music is out there for us beatmakers to sample. So I went to Spotify (sorry, SoundCloud) and searched for the song. I found exactly what I was looking for, so I started cooking (oh, Alchemist, please sign me!!!). 

Then, I went to my apartment and wrote some relaxed lyrics so I could drop a top line. The hook came together quickly, and the verses are those flow-changing ones that come naturally to me. I put the project on hold for a few months to work on other things. When I came back to it. I remember recording everything in one take, the whole shebang. Then, as I was producing the track in the studio, one musician who was rehearsing in the other room came through the control room and listened to the track, and he totally lost it! That was God's way of showing me that I was on the right track. 

Too much description, just play the track on your loud speakers!

Hey! Thank you for being here and enjoy the fruits of hard work. I have been making music on a daily basis since the year of 2011, back when I was in my freshman year of high school, but my first projects were made in 2008, back when I was in my sophomore year of junior high. Making music has always been a key element in my life because it is a talent we all share in my family. 

I started with a Gateway computer running Windows 7 and FL Studio 9. Then I landed on Ableton Live, the DAW that took my heart by storm. I finally arrived at what would become my true musical endeavour: sampling old records on an MPC. This all would become something like a musical dream since I started wanting to make songs without a DAW or PC for that matter. 

I went down on a scavenger hunt and found the Tascam Model line up and bought a Model 24.

This machine helped me as it was an entry level product for DAWless production. That’s how songs such as “It’s On” or “Yall Hedz” came to be. By producing then on an MPC plugged straight on to the PC serving as a hub to the Tascam Model 24. So I created my debut album “ArK Of All Trades” a Frankenstein mix between DAWless production and a dance made by both FL Studio and Ableton. 

Now, I’m working on my Sophomore Album.

So to me this is simple, to just make songs I think are “listenable” since I had a pretty rocky start on this. People would tell I’m -not- cut for this (ouch). So I’m not here to chase clout or claiming a fame pass. I produce the songs that come from the gut of my heart and the truth of my soul.

Speaking of truth, I was also a drug addict who had to battle addiction against drugs such as cocaine and 2-CB. It was the worst 8 years of my life. I started smoking pot on a weekly basis in my sophomore year of high school, something that escalated. I still remember my female classmates hating on me because I would come to class high as fuck and smelling of weed. It was all crazy bad, but it was part of my story. I wouldn’t deny part of my history since it has always been what fuels what I put on my lyrics.

Speaking of another more hard hitting truth: I’m a native speaker of the Spanish language. This is because I was born in Chile.

"Pictureplane"(Travis Egedy), is a popular artist known for making his come up in the electronic music scene, DIY Venues, also popular for hanging around artists like "Grimes" and "Crystal Castles" in the early come up days of these artist, he is also the one who came up with the word "Witch House" which is a playful word on "House" music, though "Witch House" is now a popular music genre that is enjoyed by many.

"Crystal Castles" are actually one of the very first, if not the first electronic music duo to actually invent "Witch House" music, as you can hear dark beats and sorrow drawn out voices off of some of their early (demo songs/ Demo Album) dating back from "2007" and before that, which is crazy to think since during that time "Witch House" did not have a name for itself yet.
