This new upload beta sucks ass. I can't make Lainwave my god damn genre. What the fuck else is this supposed to be called? It's electronically made-- I mean it's just Ableton's base sound library and effects. It can't get any more "electronic" than that. But on the other hand, there's already House, Electro, Triphop, Trance, and more. If those are electronic, but this isn't since it doesn't meet that sound-taste.... what does electronic actually mean? Are you just supposed to dump your brostep grungestep corecore slopslop edgethon SEO content farm music into this bucket and let that be that?

Anyways. this one, fellas, is most definitely for me. I'm even right there in front-and-center. I suppose that's a new feat for me; I'm still pitch-correcting my takes by ear and I'm still having trouble coming up with lyrics that "spark joy" as all the wine moms are saying lately. I've been really reflective lately. I'm already 27 and I feel like I'm not measuring up to what I've internalized people my age "should be" measuring up to. I still love finding new music here, and I'm at the point now where I want to contact my likes and ask for them to send the highest quality copy, so I can make bootleg single CDs and start a music collection.

I've realized that history is identity right down to the individual, and I feel worse looking back on my own life and seeing such a small litter of photos and videos of myself. I don't remember what I even looked like before I was 20. Though it gives me sadness, I am not completely withdrawn; one other form of history that I've always had at my side is.... HERE. I look back at my likes and I can literally see the "eras" in my life between songs. It's been a way to maintain and establish my history, and with it my identity. It's beautiful and I'm thankful.

I know people look down on consumerism for any reason. But for people like me with very little history, we must establish these landmarks of our past in owning objects and things. It's really no different from an heirloom or hand-me-down. Collecting physical media, bootlegging physical media, is my way of fighting for my birthright to my own personhood. As always I'm very thankful for the hundreds that listen to my music; it touches my heart and gives my art the blood to pump through itself. In the name of my quest for identity, in the name of freedom of music, in the name of Soundcloud being the vehicle for humanity, I leave all these things freely downloadable. For you. And me. Especially me.
