Our Past was written over some time if I remember correctly, only being finished when whilst in Las Vegas I met by chance someone related to the Maple family with whom Chief Seattle was said to have stayed around the time he made his speech. The song is set in a lodge cabin beside a blazing lodge fire whilst outside a storm rages. Chief Seattle (Noah Sealth) is telling the story to Samuel, Jacob and Eli Maple about the plight and peace of the native American Indian tribes.

Recorded at Garage Mahall in Las Vegas by Richard Stewart. A rehearsal with a drummer that created a wonderful arrangement considering he had only just heard the tunes. Jay Quigley was an absolute solid on bass, Debbie Stewart with beautiful arrangement on cello and somewhere in there was Dylan Moses doing lead guitar. Love these three LV recordings! Thanks to Richard Stewart, big supporter of the live music scene in and around Las Vegas.

Las Vegas was recorded at Pacific rehearsal rooms Liverpool in 2005 after returning to have our second daughter in our home town.

Our last residence in Las Vegas was just off West Flamingo and it was called Silent Hill from which you could see the bright lights of the strip.

For anyone that sat up in the hills and mountains that surround Las Vegas know just how breath taking it is, or coming back home from being out of town to be greeted by those lights should never be taken for granted.
