It’s high time the Argentine working class moves past the failures of ‘Peronism’ and towards a genuine and organised communist-led movement against imperialism.

As in the past during the Menem, De la Rua and Macri administrations, now again since 2023 and the election of Javier Milei, many Peronist legislators and governors who were elected on a platform of social progress have changed sides, abandoning the political project they claimed to support, adapting to the new scenario, and selling their services to the government in power. Peronism has consistently been exposed and found wanting; a genuinely anti-imperialist movement must replace it, with communists at its core and in its vanguard.

Hands off Cuba! Defend the people’s right to sovereignty and socialism

Rights to exploit Bolivia’s lithium will likely be offered to western investors, instead of the Russian and Chinese companies that were given preferential access by MAS.

Former president Evo Morales and his followers remain the great imponderable of Bolivian politics – the 65-year-old veteran politician still has the power to mobilise masses of the populace. But for the moment, the long-suffering workers of Bolivia will have to look for a more solid strategy to assert the rights and agency that they seemed so close to securing, but which once more have eluded them.

Bolivian workers’ thirst for a decent life remains unquenched

British workers must organise themselves to stop the Nato war machine in its tracks.

By shredding what remains of the ‘international order’ the USA has claimed to uphold, the imperialists have demonstrated not strength but the weakness of their position. They have been unable to launch a ground invasion, and the government of Venezuela still stands.
