This track also serves as an introduction to my upcoming novella series, The Sugar Snap Slayings, set to be released in 2026. I actually started this series two years ago, inspired by the question: “Why, even today, do we still not have enough female-led slasher movies or series?” The series tells the story of Candy Strainfield (Lipcrusher), a bullied young woman who, after enduring 27 operations, is still rejected by the group she longed to join, and as a result, she snaps.

Art is subjective and open to interpretation. I like many of my creations to be received freely, without rigid definition. At the same time, when I hint at complex themes such as how misunderstood beauty standards can have negative consequences, it is difficult not to risk offending someone. Therefore, I want to clarify that the core message of The Sugar Snap Slayings is not that body modifications are inherently bad or wrong. For some people, they can be important and even necessary if the lack of them negatively affects mental health. My intention is to encourage questioning the presentation of modifications as the ultimate standard of beauty for social acceptance. If one lives to please others, no amount will ever feel like enough.

From a human perspective, every person is beautiful, even though none of us fits everyone else’s ideals. Beauty standards vary across cultures and shift over time. We are all beautiful in our own way, even if we do not match every expectation.

And this means you can feel “fantastisch,” whoever you are, if you surround yourself with the people who love you and care about you. Knowing yourself makes things a lot easier!

Joe Garoghan (born 30 December 1990 in Gravesend, Kent), is an electronic producer based in Maidstone. He began his career working as a studio engineer, composer and producer for Holland Road Studios working with local talent, including Que Anderson and Cyrus Coxswain. Most notably he produced Anderson’s track “Love of my Life”, which has received 106,418+ views on YouTube.

As an up-and-coming producer, he not only produces electronic sounds but also R&B, Tech-house and Dubstep.  Each artist is catered to individually and uniquely.  Joe will work from initial concept all the way through to final recording.  He will provide as much or as little input as is needed, even featuring on tracks if requested.
