🎭Superheroes, video games, and the eternal clash between good and evil, with a heavy dose of sarcasm in stereo! Tom’s the villain, Mary’s the hero (maybe). It’s Just a Game... or is it?
We recorded this track months ago as an experiment with Auto-Tune and other full-blast vocal effects, but it sat on standby for a while without being mixed, since we prioritized other songs, and now here’s the result.😬
Normally we don’t use all these vocal effects, just the usual stuff like EQ, compression, and a bit of manual pitch correction when needed (Logic Pro’s Flex Pitch). But this time we went all in, and the result is pretty wild, especially on Mary’s voice.

An epic journey between light and shadow, confronting the forces that lie dormant within you. This music illustrates the inner struggle and conflict of the human being in search of harmony. This piece is a collaboration between three artists: me, https://soundcloud.com/k-toll and https://soundcloud.com/ange-crespo, created under specific constraints: only using the default instruments of Ableton Live 12 Suite, each artist worked on the mix for 1 hour and 30 minutes before passing it to the next. This process was repeated 15 times (5 sessions per artist), followed by 3 collaborative mixing stages and 2 mastering steps together. We call the process: Pass The Mix (PTM).

Our identities are top-secret (..more or less😅), forgive us, we're a bunch of very shy aliens🛸 (4 males 💁🏻‍♂️🙎‍♂️🙋🏼‍♂️🦸🏼‍♂️ and 1 female🙅‍♀️, the guitarist/backup singer). Our earthly names (and nicknames) are Tom ("Lucifer" - lead vocals and occasional keyboards/guitar), Mary ("Vampira" or just "V" - guitarist and backing vocals), Mauro ("Maux" - keyboards, piano, synths and winds), Davide ("Dave", "Quiet D" or just "D" - bass and synth bass), and Valerio ("Brad", drums and percussions). And you definitely DON'T want to know the origin of some of our nicknames!😅
