The music was derived from item 16 in "140 Folk-Songs for Grades I, II and III, Volume 7" (1922) using OMR. That product was deconstructed into several voices recorded in a light orchestral style.

We chose the title: ODE TO THE FAIRY SLIPPERS. I wrote this music for 6 15-string harps c4-c6. This iis an excerpt (full = 5'02"). Listen in STEREO.Part 1 and 6 are for beginner off harpists, parts 2-5 are for beginners from scratch. Within the limitation of the 15 strings and the possibilities of the harpists, I think I managed to create some nice music. Pls, let us know how you like it. I am a retired musician I play organ and keyboard and I am a vocalist

MARJA DE JONG, SINGER/SONGWRITER, graduated for classical solo singing  after studying at the conservatories of Arnhem with Rita Dams and The Hague with Wout Oosterkamp. She attended master classes in several styles e.g. ancient music with Emma Kirkby, modern music with Cornelia van der Horst and opera with Marlena Malas.
Besides that, Marja de Jong got acquainted with the lighter repertory, folk music and meditative music. She sings while accompanying herself on several instruments in various genres.
Marja de Jong makes her warm voice sound, with such intent and ease that it touches the audience.  She radiates a rainbow of tone colours.

The Artist is a former Road Scholar and graduate of the School of Hard Knox. He also studied at the now-defunct Liebessommer-Institut in San Francisco. His musical influences are many: among them J.S. Bach, Morton Subotnick, and Spike Jones! Not one to let stylistic grass grow under his feet, he has seen a lot of changes in his life but will never cancel his subscription to the Resurrection, surrender to the dark side, or look back once he has put his hand to the plow!
