The Coolest Thing Made in Connecticut is produced by the CBIA Foundation in partnership with CONNSTEP and made possible through the generous support of CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, Image Marketing, Blue Back Square, Medtronic, the Connecticut Office of Manufacturing, and Forge. 

The winner will be announced at the Oct. 2 Made in Connecticut: 2025 Manufacturing Summit.

After the competition, the Connecticut Science Center will open an exhibit Oct. 10 celebrating the 2025 Coolest Things Made in Connecticut.

tracks created in ableton live intro and fl studio, using solely trackpad and headphones for most productions.  humanimal2.0 is about how to fight sickness with a love for music, the spirit of imagination and the will to access fearless creativity - I had severe problems with my nervous system due to covid-19 for over a year and had to find a way to maintain willpower to build back my body in order to walk and breathe normally again.  it was a painful experience on many levels that taught me nothing but to keep a consistent and imminent effort to adapt to any situation

i did this with a wide variety of plant medicine, psychedelics, cooking knowledge, a strong love for club music, vengeance sample pack, ice cold water and a brutal work ethic.  it helped to see it as an opportunity to learn and explore other realms of the mind

Romain baigne dans la musique depuis toujours : il commence par l’apprentissage du piano dès son plus jeune âge, et développe rapidement une passion pour les soirées en tous genres. C’est donc naturellement qu’il se tourne vers le DJing et l’organisation d’événements. 
Lorsqu’il s’installe à Marseille, il se lance dans le mix pour des soirées étudiantes et techno sous le nom RWT. En 2014 il découvre la psytrance et sa culture en participant aux plus gros festivals consacrés à ce mouvement. Ces expériences dépassent pour lui le simple cadre de la musique, et décide de commencer un nouveau projet. 

NEUTRONIQUE, devient une exploration des effets des fréquences sonores sur la matière. Dévoué à promouvoir la psytrance lors des soirées qu’il animait, il se fait rapidement remarquer grâce à ses choix musicaux et ses sets dynamiques, lui permettant de se produire à des festivals majeurs comme l’Electrobotik 2016 ou encore Rave 2017 auprès des plus grands noms de la scène. 
Il est ensuite invité à rejoindre l’équipe Psymind, participant à l’organisation et se produisant à chacune des éditions sur une des plus grandes scène trance de France.

En 2024 NEUTRONIC devient le projet principal de Romain orienté vers une psytrance résolument psychédélique, tout en conservant une base dansante et festive. Cette même année, il fonde Psyboxx, en collaboration avec le Jukeboxx des 2 Alpes et organise une série d’évènements psytrance dans la station.
Parallèlement, il développe SCHÖNZ, son side project dont le style oscille entre techno progressive et psytechno.

Johannesburg-based, hard rock and garage rock influenced three-piece Drumfish emerged late in September ‘20 into a struggling scene suffering from the aftermath of a pandemic.
With all the fuzz you could ever need and aggressive vocals on their 2022 debut singles ‘Demeanour’ and ‘Taking Hits’, the band channels their unchecked rage into all their live shows making it a fun time for everyone.

With more songs on the way Drumfish aims to make themselves known in all circles while being unable to be chained in by any single genre.
