Emerging from Berlin’s vibrant underground, Dina Summer – a shapeshifting alliance of Kalipo (Frittenbude’s Electro-Punk provocateur) and the cult-favourite Dark Disco architects Local Suicide (SXDNS172) – crafts a defiant, genre-fluid universe on their sophomore album “Girls Gang.” More than just a collection of tracks, the album, released last January on Iptamenos Discos, unfolds like a manifesto for the disenchanted, where glitter and grit collide. The record’s 11 tracks blend New Wave melancholy, Post-Punk edge, and Synthpop shimmer, stitched together with lyrical themes of resilience and self-liberation that feel both deeply personal and universally anthemic. While their debut leaned into Italo-Disco-meets-Electro euphoria, “Girls Gang” expands into moodier, more introspective territory, without sacrificing the addictive pulse that’s become their trademark, proof that vulnerability and vitality can coexist on the dance floor.

After delivering a series of acclaimed remixes by the likes of none other than DJ Hell, Damon Jee, Phunkadelica (SXDNS124), and The Populists, Dina now enlists a handpicked group of collaborators for their next batch of reinterpretations.

Premiered here, The World Domination’s take on “No More Tears” injects the track with a punchy, retro-futuristic energy, as if channelling a long-lost Transmission from the golden era of Berlin’s electronic rebellion. Their signature early-2000s Electroclash flair resurfaces here, not as nostalgia, but as a reinvention, alternating between the original’s emotive vocals (raw and unguarded) and sharp, robotic chops (like glitching catharsis) over a throbbing bassline and crisp, House-inspired melodies that spiral into euphoria. The remix transforms the song’s brooding resolve into a kinetic anthem – less smoky backroom, more "strobe-lit revolution in a basement club at 4 AM." It’s a masterclass in tension and release, where frosty, metallic beats clash with warm synth swells, all while amplifying the track’s core message: shedding fear and claiming power, one syncopated heartbeat at a time.

Guest Mix 117 is a live recording of the 2nd Blank Wave anniversary event with dear friends and Berlin-based DJ and producer duo Local Suicide who have been active in the electronic music scene since first teaming up in 2008. The Greek-German couple initially gained recognition through their events across Berlin before capturing global attention with their eclectic DJ sets combining new wave, Italo, indie dance, post-disco, EBM, and dark techno.

Recognized as one of the key figures in the dark disco scene, Local Suicide’s impressive discography spans over 200 tracks. Their extensive collaborations include befriended artists such as Curses, Theus Mago, Lena Platonos, Hard Ton, The Hidden Cameras, Rodion, Kalipo, Alejandro Paz, Thomass Jackson, Skelesys & Franz Matthews, with tracks featured on notable labels including Bordello A Parigi, Duro, Ombra INTL, Lumière Noire, Eskimo, AEON, TAU, Space Factory, Sincopat, and Discotexas, among many others.

Sergione is a DJ and producer born and based in Barcelona, where he gives free rein to his current musical affiliations: Dark Disco, Acid, Electro, EBM, Indie Dance... Without neglecting many other styles, as the occasion arises, drawing on the extensive musical background that this irredeemable music lover handles. He is a regular at the main clubs of Barcelona's underground scene. His sets are characterized by his contagious energy that extends to the dance floor, with an enormous obsession with connecting with the public and making them dance like possessed people.
Sergione can also be seen in Italy, Portugal, France, Belgium... and is the founder of Sònica!, a collective founded in 2024 with the aim of revitalizing Barcelona's underground scene and building new bridges with like-minded collectives from other cities and countries.

The Why people dance question was asked for the first time in Lithuania back in 2013 but it gained a worldwide echo in its 8 years of existence. Run by @pauliuskamblevicius with the help of @experimentsserial and a network of collaborators, the online electronic music platform and label keeps its heart open for new friends and treasure finds but its filter tight and deep underground. For over two decades, Taffi Louis has struggled to write a DJ bio that doesn’t sound like AI-generated slop. as a trend chaser but as a selector driven by instinct and observation. Defying simple categorization, his sets blend dark disco, new wave, Italo, in the language of house and techno into a fluid narrative, like an imaginary film soundtrack rooted in both nostalgia and futurism, rooted in the moment.  His first gig in a local gay bar unexpectedly kicked off a six-year residency, playing five-hour sets he built unique audiences with parties like Truckerdisco and Roboteria, centered around music first, not market segments. His era-jumping, propulsive DJ sets refuse to treat music as disposable or as a utility to simply be switched on and off.  His edits receive worldwide support from DJs like The Hacker, Italo Brutalo, Local Suicide, & more.
