Likely your parents told you to never pick up hitchhikers.  But did C. Thomas Howell follow that advice back in 1986?  Of course not!  He stopped for Rutger Hauer on an empty desert highway in West Texas, and let’s just say he learned his lesson but good.  It’s a B-movie grindhouse game of cat-and-mouse that has managed to gain a cult following over the years, but one that probably wouldn’t work as well in 2024, what with all our newfangled phone technology and freeways and such.  Bottom line, they don’t make ‘em like this anymore…or do they?

Trayectoria
Ziar Lirus inició su carrera en 2012, explorando sonidos sintéticos y estructuras melódicas propias del EDM y progressive house. Su propuesta fue evolucionando hacia una identidad más conceptual, sumando influencias del cine futurista, la animación y el universo cyberpunk, tanto en lo musical como en lo visual.

Ziar no solo se define por su música, sino también por construir un universo conceptual. Su personaje es un ser alienígena de un planeta cercano a Betelgeuse, que llega a la Tierra atraído por frecuencias similares a las de su mundo. Se presenta ante la humanidad desde la Luna, usando su música como puente.

Este concepto lo distingue en la escena independiente, uniendo géneros musicales con una identidad oscura, futurista y narrativa. Sus canciones exploran la resistencia, tecnología y emociones intensas, con una estética poderosa y energética.

Influencias
Entre sus influencias se destacan Daft Punk, Justice, K/DA, Gesaffelstein, Nine Inch Nails, y bandas sonoras de obras como Blade Runner, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Love, Death & Robots y Neon Genesis Evangelion. Su propuesta sonora y visual da como resultado un estilo único y reconocible.
