Receta de torta de naranja roja y aceite de oliva:
187g Harina
150g Azucar
1 1/2 Cucharadita de polvo para hornear
150g de aceite de oliva
2 huevos grandes
Jugo y Ralladura de 2 naranjas rojas (blood orange)
1 cucharadita de esencia de vainilla
1/2 cucharadita de sal

Preparación:
1. Precalentar el horno a 180°C y engrasar con mantequilla y cubrir de harina (sin excesos) un molde para hornear.
2. Mezclar Harina y polvo para hornear en un recipiente
3. Mezclar huevos y azucar hasta que este espumando (incorporar aire)
4. mezclar lentamente el aceite de oliva en la mezcla de huevos y azucar para emulsionar
5. Agregar ralladura y jugo de naranja, esencia de vainilla y sal
6. Finalmente mezclar delicadamente la harina y polvo de hornear.

Hornear por 60 minutos hasta que este dorada y salga limpio el cuchillo al insertarlo.

After an uneven, electric weekend in Brooklyn — three days of drawing wine-stained sketches, stealing peace in quiet corners, and learning the soft geometry of a room with someone else in it — this is the soundscape that followed.

I arrived a poet with pencils and patience. Cassie arrived with pink roses and home-cooked meals. We filled the apartment with Madiba riddim while I got ready; Drake slid a line in my headphones that cut the lights right out:

“And you're walkin' outside on me now
Who's side are you on again?
What room does he have you in?
What time do you leave again?
How long do we just stay friends?
What role do I play again?
I can't even make new friends
I'm here with no move again
I need to know how this ends.”

FaceTime after FaceTime, the soft “I miss you, sheik,” and a hundred small hesitations sat like cups on the table between us.

It’s the aftertaste: the laugh when she set down rose-ice cream at dinner, the little flame of a pink candle that read You want me right?, the way a melody can make a hand tremble like a knife at the chest.

It’s the quiet fear when the temperature shifts and you realize there’s someone else in the picture. It’s the poet writing in an Uber, piecing the night back together with rhyme and regret.

For anyone who’s ever been the late-night poet, the last person in the frame, or the one who keeps a candle lit just in case — this is the Rose Bath.
