We continue our Special Fall Restaurant Series meeting with the staff at Acme Hospitality's The Lark Restaurant + Lucky Penny.

We talk to General Manager Derek, Chef Jeremy and we take a peek "behind the curtain" with Owner Sherry Villanueva.

Like nearly every business, the past few years have been really, really hard on our friends in the restaurant business. 

But that’s not what this special restaurant series is about…This series is cheering on and supporting those who have survived the years by highlighting their accomplishments and reminding all of us about what makes each restaurant special. 

It reminds all of us, including the restaurateurs, sometimes why our neighborhood restaurants and staff are so important to our social wellbeing. They continue to be a part of our lives.

Restaurants will forever remain our happy gathering place for life’s most important celebrations, or simply just to connect with friends at the end of a long week. This year we kick off the fall restaurant series with our friends from Acme Hospitality.  They live for their restaurants and their guests, and they follow my favorite personal rule: Get better every day.

It’s National Lucky Penny Day, and we couldn’t feel luckier knowing so many associates will soon be joining us in Northwest Arkansas for Associates Week. Our very lucky Associate Caller of the Day was Alaysha from Americus, Georgia, who gave a shoutout to Team Lead Pam and to the Apparel team. Bo’s Impossible Question of the Day asked: This is not allowed in 35 states without a permit. (The answer isn’t so easy peasy.) On today’s show, we received shoutouts from Edinburg, Texas to Stuart, Virginia. In Milestone Minute we celebrated three incredible anniversaries. We gave a shoutout to Doriees from Store 434 in Huntsville, Alabama, on 35 years, to Sharon at Club 6347 in Farmington, New Mexico, on 30 years, and ended with a big congrats for Dolores at Store 1555 in El Centro, California, on 25 years.
