When I was 15, a friend introduced me to the world of electronic music, and it’s been a deep passion of mine ever since. Now, I pour my heart into creating a variety of electronic sounds. My goal is to share that love and take you on a journey through my music.

A Chicago native, Rob, also known as Dr. Base, spent the majority of his life in the city and its Southwest suburbs. He relocated to Florida's Gulf Coast for nearly five years, where he contributed to the NFL, IMG Academy, and Perfect Game in videography and operations.

His journey as a HOUSE MUSIC DJ commenced in 1999, employing two turntables and a two-channel mixer.

Subsequently, Dr. Base, B-Bonix, and Kiddwrek established "Structured Muziq," showcasing local Chicagoland DJs and events. In 2007, Dr. Base embarked on a solo career, securing two residencies at prominent venues within the Chicagoland area. Later that year, he received an invitation to DJ a beach party in Mexico, situated off the Sea of Cortez. He described this experience as "a festival atmosphere for the first time in his life, and he can unequivocally state it was the most exhilarating experience of his life! That event validated all the diligent effort and commitment I personally invested in the art of DJing! I would not exchange it for anything."!" 


His distinctive style primarily features Tech House Grooves, complemented by elements of Funk. For those seeking a DJ with dynamic energy and a unique style, we recommend tuning into the House Jak City Podcast Mixshow, available on Fridays via Soundcloud. This initiative comprises two distinct programs: "Backstage" and "Mixshow Fridays." The concept originated in 2018 with the aim of positively impacting the industry. Our objective is to impart our extensive industry knowledge to individuals aspiring to commence careers in DJing and Podcasting.

Additionally, Rob (DR. BASE) has developed a new series titled "The Lost Mix," which holds significant personal meaning for him. This series transcends a mere narrative.
