The 5th of May by Alessandro Manzoni is written in memory of the French figure Napoleon Bonaparte.

Manzoni, known to his friends as Ale, in his lyrics recalls the great battles, trying to highlight the main aspects of his character and personality of a man who, it must be admitted, truly made history.

Ale had met Napoleon Bonaparte, but had never given his opinion on the figure of the French leader, until his passing.

In this musical journey through Italian literature, I chose to combine it with a march with dark electronic sounds but with a crescendo to emphasize some parts of the text.
