Diego Knows is a New York native, Co-Founder of Cut-Line Records, and a global ambassador of house music. Growing up immersed in New York City’s vibrant underground scene, Diego’s musical journey began after a life-changing experience at Pacha NYC. Late nights at the iconic club introduced him to pulsating techno, tribal drums, and electrifying electro sounds, igniting his passion for music and inspiring him to explore his creativity as an artist.

By his late teens, Diego was already producing tracks influenced by the sensory overload of NYC nightlife—the lights, the beats, and the deep connection of the dance floor. These formative experiences shaped a sound that seamlessly blends funk, disco, house, techno and minimal with the raw energy of the underground.

After a decade of refining his craft, Diego launched Cut-Line, making his debut at legendary venues like the Panther Room and The Roof at Output. What began as an event and artist management company is now evolving into a vinyl record label, set to launch in early 2025.

Diego later partnered with Sergio Santos to create FUNKY PEOPLE, a monthly party at TBA Brooklyn celebrated for its eclectic track selection and groovy vibe. Alongside Jeremy Ismael, the trio took FUNKY PEOPLE on the road, performing at top venues across New York City, the U.S., and Europe.

As a producer, Diego has released music with his lifelong friend Maják on renowned labels like Yoyaku, Decay, and Street King. Their collaborations showcase a seamless blend of groove-heavy rhythms and intricate production, earning them recognition in the global underground scene. Together, they have contributed to respected imprints such as Superfreq, Wildfamily, Staybad, Good Luck Penny, and Fine Mode, with their work consistently championed by DJs and tastemakers alike.

Whether behind the decks or on the dance floor, Diego is driven by the universal language of music. His mission is to create transformative moments that connect people, celebrating the energy and unity that only music can inspire. music - another fantastic hobby that has evolved into a serious passion!

as a child, marc used to collect various genres of music, mostly ethnic, pop & jazz on cassette tapes.

during his teenage years, when he moved to the netherlands, he delved into rock, hard rock, heavy metal, new wave & punk music. dressing up for concerts and gigs was a big part of the experience during that time.

in high school, marc developed a fondness for classical, reggae/ska, and later industrial music, which eventually transitioned into dance music.

during the 90s, he began collecting vinyl records and acquired turntables & mixers to play tribal house & progressive dance tracks.

between 2000 and 2020, marc primarily listened to ethnic, lounge, & ambient music, while also building a vast mp3 collection spanning different genres. occasionally, he would spin fast funk & electro-swing tunes during certain events in the netherlands.

since 2021, marc has been creating specific playlists on spotify and soundcloud, reigniting his passion for mixing, this time with mp3 files and dj controllers.

presently, he djs 'funky beatless music' or 'music with beats' in three different speeds: dinner, sunset, and dance.

marc, also known as dj marc solaris, carefully selects his favorite good-vibe tracks to spin at special events, clubs, and cafes.
