Creating this set was a special experience for me. This mix is a small reflection of what anjunadeep has inspired in me. After spending so many nights in the crowd at their shows - losing myself to the melodies, watching anjunadeep artist shape entire rooms with emotion 

I've always dreamed of one day contributing to that atmosphere from the decks - being able to contribute to that world, even in a small way has been a quiet dream of mine. Getting the chance to open for an anjunadeep event would be an absolute dream come true.

Afterlife

Hello friends! December 2025, and we're well into the winter season here in Toronto. I'm pleased to share my next mix, which is a carefully-curated selection of tracks based on the vibe I'm feeling. I went for deep progressive, melodic, moody and hypnotic - perfect for this winter season if you want to go on a journey! Lots of fresh new music from the likes of Eelke Kleijn, Yeadon, Guy Mantzur, Tantum, Estiva, Simon Vuarambon, J Ribbon, Harry Diamond, Hyunji-A, and many more. Ending the mix with a throwback and an ode to Jeremy Olander's epic O2C in Toronto last month - where he dropped that track at 4am - my favourite moment of the night.

Volker Carl Jacoby - Autor, Poet, Kabarettist, Comedian, Liedermacher, Synchronsprecher - https://www.literaturland-saar.de/personen/volker-carl-jacoby

Author, poet, cabaret artist, songwriter, voice actor, journalist and even pastor: Volker C. Jacoby is active in many fields.

He spent his childhood and youth in St. Ingbert. Saarland, Germany, where he attended the humanistic and classical language branch of the State Secondary School. After university and various jobs, he began working freelance for „Saarländischer Rundfunk“ Radio, initially as a correspondent for the SR 3 regional news program, in parallel with his readings and literary solo cabaret programs. This was followed by roles as a narrator for radio plays, as a voice actor, and for various commercials.

In 1977, Jacoby teamed up with Schorsch Seitz to form the duo "Jacoby & Schorsch." Together, they primarily composed humorous songs in Standard German and the Rhenish-Franconian-Saarland dialect with a cabaret-like, ironic touch. Their dialect songs, in particular, filled a clearly existing gap in the market, especially since "SR 3 Saarlandwelle" featured them permanently on their programming, thus making them known to a wider audience. Subsequently, "Jacoby and Schorsch" produced three vinyl albums and three singles. During their tours, they also performed open-air gigs with rock bands.

Soon well known beyond the borders of Saarland, the duo received engagements in Berlin, Stuttgart (Südfunk), Cologne (Westdeutscher Rundfunk), Frankfurt, Munich, Basel and Brussels, among others. During a TV recording at the Renitenztheater in Stuttgart, they also met Mathias Richling and Karl Dall. Jacoby collaborated with the latter several times for RTL on the radio show "Die schlaue Stunde." In 1993, the popularity of "Jacoby & Schorsch" peaked – not least through their appearances with Hanns Dieter Hüsch  (A "Hüsch Evening" with music in memory of his friend and cabaret colleague Hanns Dieter Hüsch was added to the repertoire – later in 2010).

He moved to France 1994. Since then, he has been performed readings, including singing. His dialect contributions have provided him with a rewarding outlet in the "Mundartring Saar" (Saarland dialect circle), including as a reciter of poems by deceased fellow authors, to whom he lends his voice.

Constantly prolific in literary terms, his poems are in the tradition of comic poetry in the style of Wilhelm Busch, Christian Morgenstern, Joachim Ringelnatz, Eugen Roth, Heinz Erhardt and Robert Gernhardt. Volker C. Jacoby also publishes his poetry and prose on LiteratPro, Facebook and YouTube. Since 2025, he has been setting his poems to music and is constantly writing new songs. And, of course, he continues to write his cheerful, humorous, and often very quirky poems.

Born with an insatiable drive to escape the mundane through emotive reflection, it was only natural that one day Branden’s journey would bring him into the musical world. His passion to ignite a hidden energy within his listeners has seen him maintain a prestigious residency at one of Johannesburg’s premier nightclubs. 
Deriving his inspiration and guidance from his older brothers, Kotton Kandy, Branden has been behind the decks since the age of 5 years old. He has been groomed to understand the purest intricacies electronic music has hidden within the nuisances of its groove. 
His unwavering love for gorgeous melodies and driving bass lines is perfectly expressed within his performances. His on stage energy is contagious. He speaks from his soul through his music.

Lover of electronic music since 1992, I enjoy various styles of electronic music, including trance, progressive, techno, and electro. Based in Alicante with experience in France, the UK, and Switzerland, I recently arrived on the turntables in 2024 to pursue my passion.

I've been listening to electronic music since I was old enough to tune into the John Peel show on Radio 1. Peel first introduced me to Chicago House, Detroit Electro and Rap. I would listen to an entire show with my finger hovering over the record button of my 'tape-recorder' close to the radio speaker just to record whatever 3 electronic imports he would play each night. I wish I'd kept those recordings.
From the moment I first heard 'Roxanne Shante' I sought out everything I could ranging from Kraftwerk, Mike Oldfield, Kurtis Mantronik, Africa Bambata, Grandmaster Flash, Gorgio Morodor, Axel-F, Jean Michel Jarre and just about anyone who used a synth to make music! With the arrival of House in the mid-late 80's the likes of Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Steve Silk Hurley, Adonis and many more American underground House producers, the music had developed into a new, seriously exciting phenomena.
Music progressed at pace with House and Acid imports driving change, the UK in particular underwent an epiphany of sorts in the 80's and 90's. From Break-Dancing to New Romanticism, the music developed, finally morphing into the early genres of Acid Trance, Techno and Progressive Trance. Heavily influenced by American and underground Dutch and German artists and with the advent of clubbing and non-speaking mixing DJ's, it opened up a Pandora's box of new music, influences, sounds and styles. What that amounted to for me (and most others like me) was an ever-growing range of electronic music that was continually breaking free from pigeon-holes and mainstream pop culture. Electronic music had become the new classical music of a generation.
I can only say that electronic or computer music has evolved beautifully in the past 40 years and I love it as much now as the day I first heard John Peel play fantastic American imports.
I'm not anything more than a bedroom DJ and electronic music enthusiast. I have the greatest admiration for those who DJ publicly and seek to build a following or career from DJing, but that’s not a path I’ve tried to follow. I do love to put together great tunes, so for me using this sort of platform for sharing music is perfect for me. I do mixes both on my decks and using Ableton, as sometimes I find it easier to create a journey through that medium. 
As for making music, I’m slowly finding my way around Ableton in order to bring life to the musical ideas rolling around my head.
