Sassari, inverno 2019 – L’ultimo concerto della prima formazione

Nel suggestivo contesto del Bistrot di Sassari, durante una fredda serata dell’inverno 2019, i FACTORY (Mark I) salutavano il pubblico con un’esecuzione intensa e carica di emozione: Golden Slumbers, omaggio sentito ai Beatles, eseguito con devozione quasi liturgica e una cura estrema nel rispetto dell’originale.

Fabrizio Cherubini, con una voce emozionata e profonda, ha saputo cogliere la malinconia e la dolcezza del brano, sostenuto da un accompagnamento impeccabile: Silvio Vinci alterna il piano a un mellotron sognante, tessendo atmosfere soffuse e celestiali, mentre Luca Monaco, attento alla lezione di Ringo Starr, dosa con eleganza ogni colpo di batteria, in punta di pennello.
Chris Pain al basso costruisce un sostegno armonico morbido ma solido, essenziale alla resa complessiva, e come nota speciale, l’ospite Giorgio Sale alla chitarra regala un intervento superbo, dal suono inconfondibile della magica Gibson Les Paul i, che accarezza e amplifica l’emotività del pezzo.
È una versione misurata, intima, che non cerca virtuosismi ma va dritta al cuore: una vera lettera d’amore ai Beatles. Un congedo perfetto per la prima incarnazione dei FACTORY, che quella notte al Bistrot chiudeva il suo ultimo atto con delicatezza, classe e infinita passione.

With 13 years I got my first home computer, a Commodore 128. Soon I started making electronic music with it's famous SID chip and sound/rock monitor software.

I upgraded to an Amiga 500 and later to Amiga 1200, and was introduced into the 8-bit sampling world. Octalyzer, OctaMed where the most used tools, and a stereo 8-bit sampler module. The results were recorded to a tape recorder and shared among friends.

Then came the Synth and PC period. Bought a GEM Hyperkeyboard (accompainment stuff, with loadable sounds) and later the famous GEM S2 Turbo which is still part of the studio.
Software-wise Open Modplug Tracker was the center of the music production.

Now I'm producing Music and Sample packs using Renoise 3.1, Native Instruments Kontakt 5, Novation Impulse Midi Keyboard and the previously mentioned GEM S2 Turbo, using various VST instruments and effects and a huge library of samples.
