Parcours Fleurir | Présentation

A gentle, flowing soundscape that evokes the feeling of cherry blossom petals softly falling. This track is designed to create a tranquil and introspective atmosphere, ideal for moments of quiet reflection or peaceful background listening.

Petalfall Serenade

A rare historical field recording of a traditional Sufi ritual performed by the Yasawiyya brotherhood in Central Asia (Kazakhstan).

Prophet Zakariya
"Arra" translates to "saw." The deep, rhythmic breathing of the dervishes mimics the sound of a two-handed saw. According to Sufi tradition, this rhythm commemorates the martyrdom of Prophet Zakariya (Zechariah). When hiding from his persecutors inside a hollow tree, he was sawed in half along with the trunk. Yet, instead of crying out in pain, his heart remained entirely absorbed in the Zikr (remembrance) of God. The "saw" of the Arra Zikr spiritually cuts away the human Ego (Nafs), mimicking Zakariya's ultimate surrender to the Creator.

The Presence of Angels
In Islamic tradition, it is believed that whenever people gather in a circle for Zikr, columns of angels descend from the heavens. They surround the gathering with their wings, bringing divine mercy and tranquility (sakinah). As the tempo of the breathing accelerates, the physical boundaries dissolve, and the circle becomes a unified, vibrating column of spiritual light.
