Wir holen Menopause, Stimmungsschwankungen und Brain Fog aus den Flüsterton-Gesprächen und Gruppen-Chats. Wir schubsen sie aus ihrer beigen Befindlichkeitsecke, in der darüber so informiert wird, als handele es sich dabei um das Ende der Lebensfreude, Sexyness und des weiblichen Selbstwertgefühls. Genau, kotzendes Emoji. Denn wie kann es sein, dass die Hälfte der Bevölkerung irgendwann in ihrem Leben eine ganz persönliche Zeitenwende erlebt und vor ein paar saftigen körperlichen und emotionalen Herausforderungen steht, während die andere Hälfte davon wenig ahnt? Dass jetzt gerade zehn Millionen Frauen irgendwo zwischen Schlaflosigkeit und schmerzenden Gelenken hängt und wir alle reden da einfach gar nicht oder bloß total verquer drüber?

Fakt ist doch:
Deine beste Freundin hat ne Hitzewallung mitten in ihrer Präsentation und täuscht lieber nen Frosch im Hals vor anstatt Klartext zu reden. Auch, weil sie in ihrem ganzen Leben noch nie in einer Situation war, in der eine andere Frau gesagt hat „Leute, ich brauch mal kurz nen Moment, meine Hormone glühen“. Scham und Schweigen allenthalben.

Und wenn es dann mal einen Bestseller zum Thema gibt, wird der eher heimlich unter der Bettdecke gelesen anstatt für alle sichtbar in der U-Bahn. Denn alternativ könnte Frau sich ja auch gleich einen Aufkleber mit dem Hinweis „Verfallsdatum erreicht“ auf die Stirn kleben.

... macht keine einzige Hitzewallung auch nur ein Grad kühler, keinen Brain Fog durchsichtiger. Aber wir strahlen mit dem Scheinwerfer dahin, wo das Thema bisher ein Schattendasein führt.
