I recently got to play at the long running daytime disco, funk and house event MFSB in Edinburgh and although I didn't manage to record the set live on the day I've recreated the experience here with all the tracks that I played. Big thanks to Yogi and Caroline who had me over and to everyone who showed me some love with the music I played! Hope to return there one day as it's an awesome event. Anyway enjoy!

Fingerman Goes To MFSB 2025

An American singer who became quite popular during the Disco era, Loleatta Holloway had a string of hits on the R&B charts and amassed 18 charted hits on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart including four #1’s. Among Holloway’s best known songs are "Hit and Run" and "Love Sensation," both of which have been sampled extensively. In 1991, Loleatta teamed up with studio outfit Triangle and rapper K-Street, releasing the one-off 12” “Set Me Free (Do That To Me)” on Jack Pot Records. After becoming an underground club sensation in the United States, the track came to the attention of  The Future Sound Of London (Brain Dougans and Garry Cobain), who promptly remixed it, with their excellent take getting released in the UK on the Debut label. This special release features The Future Sound Of London Mix, a previously unreleased radio edit of that version, and the Power Mix from the original Jack Pot 12”.

The term “DJ” holds much more weight and responsibility than people give it credit for nowadays. In our culture, people have gravitated towards DJs for therapy, healing, celebration, and escape from the troubles they experience in their reality. With that being said, I find it important to create high vibrational experiences through sound, that provides the space for people to become one with themselves via the universal heartbeat…….. rhythm. We all have an “InnerEar” (some more heightened than others) that allows us to hear the voice of divinity, the Universe, “God”, or whatever term you personally resonate with. The InnerEar is also sensitive to tones & vibrations, which control almost everything in this world. The goal/mission of InnerEarPower is to lead the collective back to a space where we cherished the sacredness of music, prior to the frequency (Hz) being lowered for control purposes. The problem AND the solution has always been reflected in the music culturally.
