Back in 2023 - this was one of the first bands I ever produced. Minneapolis-based hardcore band "Bite Back" trusted me and my buddy Marcus to record and mix their debut release, "Pathways to Violence." The EP was originally released on major streaming platforms, but unfortunately was taken down as the band dismembered a few months later. 

Being the producer - I still have the original mix and decided to post it here as an unofficial release!

Pathways to Violence EP

This remix combines the best of both worlds from Nothing Compares 2 U. The original version by The Family features a stunning orchestral arrangement, while Prince’s own version showcases his unique vocal performance and emotional depth.

I wanted to merge these two visions — preserving the lush orchestration of The Family while bringing in the soul and presence of Prince’s voice. The result is a tribute that seeks to capture the full emotional power of this timeless song.

(Original song written by Prince, first released by The Family in 1985.)

Warehouse raves are hands down one of my favorite experiences and I was honored to throw down a full techno set filled with some IDs just for the underground scene in the Twin Cities.
