'My name is Julian. I am a master's student from Germany, currently living in Italy. As a teenager I
discovered I love making music, so I taught myself playing the guitar as well as the drums. It helped
me cope with problems and challenges of day-to-day life. Therefore, I always had the
dream to make my own music. These days it's easier than ever, so I spent a lot of time, especially during the pandemic, on learning to create and mix music in the comfort of my own living room.
Inspiration finds me through a lot of different music and art – surprisingly less from artists in the
same genre. I love everything from Metal to Jazz to Funk to Electronic Music and beyond. For
'Turn It Up Bright' my goal was to take the track and create something entirely different with it. It is
always important to me to add dynamics to the music, so there are both danceable and more
ambient parts.
I will always start creating different drum parts with various energy levels and adding a chord
progression on a synth. After that I will take my guitar and come up with a melody or two. When I
record all the ideas that came to mind, i will arrange them in order to make a full track out of it. It doesn't always work as it is necessary to get into the flow – if it works out the song will so to
say write itself. With 'Turn It Up Bright' it took me a while to get to the end result, but it was very
much worth the time.
When Musicon reached out to me to create a remix out of one of their artists track, I was intrigued
– I never remixed a song before, but I always wanted to try it. 'Turn It Up Bright' resonated with me lyrically as well as sonically with its sincere and uplifting vibe. I am beyond exited to share with you what I came up with.'

Dave Rice Feat. Collin McLoughlin - Turn It Up Bright (Tideswell Remix)

'The Remix of Night Shift is my 2nd Official remix for Muscion Channel, and it was a tough yet fun experience during the production process of the track. I finished the first version within 4-5 days, properly mixed and mastered as well, Mr. Arion was satisfied with the beats and overall arrangement but he wasn't satisfied with my sound designing, so he asked me to take some time to work on it.

I tried different versions with arps,supersaw chords,pads and basslines over the next couple of weeks alternating between different patterns, sent around 4-5 versions but still it wasn't enough as Mr. Arion wanted a specific sound and vibe but I was failing over and over to get the desired result unfortunately.

After sending 4-5 different versions with the same beat and arrangement I honestly lost my creative juices but Mr. Arion was kind enough to give me some references of other tracks so that I can start again with some fresh perspective, the references mostly revolved around tropical house plucks. So I got to work for one final time and tried to replicate that sound and went on with a Reggeaton pattern with the plucks over the same beats and arrangement. Mastered, rendered and sent it for the final time only to be accepted by Mr. Arion for an official release, it was a huge relief for me,it was tough,but quite fun as well and a great learning experience for me as a small artist.

I'd love to thank Mr. Arion and the whole team of Musicon for this opportunity and also for being patient with me during this long process, I'll be doing more remixes for Musicon in the near future for sure and if things go well then obviously some original tracks as well if Mr. Arion and the whole team of Musicon feel it fits the brand of Musicon.
