Marisa joins the show to discuss her latest work "In Pursuit'': a piece that serves as a form of civic dialogue, delving into the rich complexity of the American story while acknowledging the many perspectives and journeys that have shaped it. Marisa also talks about the interrogating roles monuments play in shaping historical narratives.

I wanted to try an alternate tuning to see if I would be inspired to write. I accidentally snapped my E string on my Schecter, which has tuning locks, when downtuing. This forced an emergency run to Guitar Center, where I was also forced to buy strings I normally wouldn't. I am probably more brand-loyal than I would like to admit but picked up a set of Ernie Ball Slinky 10-62 7-string set. 62 is a girthy boy. With this tuning, it made sense tho, and is kind of 8-string octave adjacent.

Delhi- The capital city of India has much more to offer than just mouth watering food and political gossips. The city has been evolving since time immemorial. With infamous Delhi Sultanate ruling the city to now the administration being in the hands of Aam Aadmi Party, Delhi has witnessed major political turmoil. From the dingy streets of Chandni Chowk to the wide flyovers spread across the city, Delhi has become first choice for people who desire to live in a metropolitan city. But what remains unchanged is its soul, its history. 

The soul of any city resides in its untouched and unchanged places. Though the journey of Delhi from Indraprastha has caused significant changes to the city's political spirit, infrastructure and administration but the soul of the city is still intact in its historical places.
