'Psychometrics Hidden Layers' is the fourth release from the Berlin- and Lisbon-based event series Art Bei Ton. This 7-track VA focuses on bringing diverse trippy forms of hypnotic sounds, from Ambient to Deep Techno.

Opening the VA, the talented Portuguese artist @maria-callapez invites the listener to experience her atmospheric Ambient universe. The Tokyo-based DJ and producer @ryogoyamamoritracks presents an immersive hypnotic techno track, transporting us back to some nostalgic moments.

Through her track ‘Dark Blue,’ @yuka welcomes the listener on a rhythmic and mesmerizing sonic journey. @hypnotic-black-magic releases her first track, showcasing her vision of a powerful hypnotic vibe, blending driving and trippy elements. The great German producer and DJ @mordiomusic offers us a piece, mixing adynamic drums and ethereal mood.

Wrapping up this release, the Indian artist @anejath embraces a more trancy and acidic sounds with his track 'Atlas Interface,' while the Lisbon-based producer @veigamusic creates a powerful dancefloor tune — a clean merge between deep and groovy techno.

VA - Psychometrics Hidden Layers  [ABT-VA004]

Berlin's electronic music scene is doing what it does best, with the release of a beautifully diverse VA compilation from Art Bei Ton, showcasing various shades of techno. This collection, available on Bandcamp from October 16th, features standout tracks like Shadow Appearance by German producer Mordio.

The track conjures an otherworldly presence, as if a creature is personified through sound, evolving over time and evoking images of vast desert landscapes. Rhythmic vibrations, dynamic drums, and hypnotic pads draw the listener into a state of flow—grounded yet soaring above.

Precise in every way, this is another fantastic addition to Mordio's growing repertoire. Definitely one to have on repeat for a while.

Mordio returns with ‘Selva of The Zone’, a captivating Techno Tool EP that
showcases his mastery of groove and sound design. This release pulses bet-
ween driving, groovy techno, minimalistic dark textures, and abstract percus-
sions.
“Locked in a Box”, the first track, hits the ground running—a bold opening
with a propelling groove, balancing deep techno roots with an energy that
pushes boundaries. “Fuiste” follows—a track defined by its functional flow,
mysterious atmosphere, and intricate rhythmic patterns that challenge and
captivate. On “Small Anomaly”, mordio crafts a sleek, body-focused compo-
sition. Playful fills punctuate its elegant, functional core—a refined example
of body music in motion. “Gravity Pattern” introduces a snappy confidence,
bold and irresistible, radiating cheeky energy that pulls the listener in.
Finally, the title piece, “Selva of The Zone”, bring a playful synth and a raw,

MORDIO is a Berlin-based artist and producer whose work explores the boundaries
between experimental techno and intricate sound design. With over 15 years dedi-
cated to crafting electronic music, his signature style combines detailed textures
with hypnotic rhythms.
Beyond the studio, MORDIO is deeply engaged in sharing knowledge with the glo-
bal electronic music community. His YouTube channel serves as a platform where
he breaks down complex sound design techniques, offering insights into his creati-
ve process and helping fellow artists develop their craft.
As both producer and educator, MORDIO bridges the gap between artistic expres-
sion and technical expertise, collaborating with artists across genres while fostering
a supportive community of electronic music creators.

DLZ ́s journey started back in 2011 in Berlin - Köpenick where he was part of the illegal open air scene and also part of an oId - location called „Black Stag“. After several stops in different clubs he also reinvented the „All Club“ (2016) a former event location based in Mellowpark Berlin.

DLZ is an outstanding producer, DJ and founder. His attention to detail and
versatility, technical knowledge and strong community approach led him to found the „Studio 555" in 2021 eventually, a creative hub for musicians, video creators and artists in East-Berlin.

Always focusing on sub culture, DLZ genre-bending focus brings techno, house, rap and many more under one roof, creating a thriving space for creativity and
expression.

Playing a crucial role as production lead of the audio department at Nation of
Gondwana Festival and as a light designer/operator lead for the Mit Dir Festival, his connections reach from Berlin over Warsaw to Tallin.

Mordio, Berlin-based DJ and producer, brings a field-recording-infused piece that feels both grounded and uplifting.
Portuguese artist Caroline Letho crafts a bright, playful, and ritualistic sound that reflects her unique perspective.

Osaka-based ambient artist Endurance conjures a bright, melodic landscape — an atmosphere infused with quiet magic and emotional depth.
ASERET, the Sardinian ambient producer and live performer, delivers a profond and immersive composition, a meditative journey that gently elevates the listener into luminous stillness.
Monophaze offers a luminous and melancholic piece, a drifting and emotive journey wrapped in delicate atmospheric layers.

Creator of Ambient Sleepers, Hypnotic Black Magic unveils 'Lightworker', a melodic piece that unfolds like distant piano echoes suspended in time.
Sardinian artist TVS offers a deeply meditative piece. Her composition draws the listener into a contemplative inner space.
Malísima’s Ven Conmigo floats in an atmospheric cloud of textures — ethereal and unbound by definition.

Parisian DJ and producer Nao Nhil taps into nostalgic, immersive zones with cinematic depth.
Renowned Polish producer Michal Wolski crafts a ritualistic ambient piece full of hypnotic percussion and deep atmospheres.
Lina K, Shanghai-based artist, offers 你是谁？[Who Are You], a deep ambient techno exploration that unfolds like an echo of identity, inviting reflection through rhythm and space.

Finally, Garber, Barcelona-based musician, closes the compilation with a ritualistic, percussion-driven track rooted in earthy textures and emotion.

Organizing events in Berlin and Europe since 2018, our goal is to create some immersive experiences, offering Hypnotic Techno/Ambient DJ sets and live acts, together with VJing, art exhibition, interactive audio-visual installations, performances, panels and workshops.  

Curating international artists, we want to embrace more inclusivity in the scene through the promotion of diverse and gender-balanced line ups. It is important for us to highlight female artists, queer actors of our community and fight together against all kinds of discrimination.
