Crystal Sessions | Kyanite Dream #1

Una plegaria en forma de canción, “Kyrie” fusiona lo sagrado y lo sensorial a través de un viaje sonoro profundamente emotivo. Inspirada en la antigua invocación “Kyrie eleison” (“Señor, ten piedad”), esta obra nos sumerge en una atmósfera de devoción, sanación y conexión con la luz interior.

Voces etéreas, armonías místicas y ritmos envolventes crean un espacio donde el alma puede respirar, danzar y elevarse. Una meditación cantada que invita a liberar el dolor, abrazar la verdad y despertar al amor universal.

KYRIE

This is my first attempt at creating an ambient musical expression of a fiction novel.

'Urwelt' (meaning primeval in German) is a central core to the 1913 mystical /weird fiction novel, The Centaur by Algernon Blackwood. 

The Centaur is in some ways about a man on a ship, yet it is a mystical story of astounding complexity and scope. It has blown my mind, this book. 

Blackwood's writing sits within a shifting paradigm that feels incredibly relevant to today's environmental ethics and spirituality. It's eco-gothic, ecological thinking, relationality, Gaia, systems thinking ... it's all. The Universe feels further cracked open for me. I feel like I have encountered myself and simultaneously lost myself. Where do I go to read after THIS?

I am new to using Valhalla Supermassive (in GarageBand), and I am certain I will look back on this track as awkward and clunky. I've simply cut up loops and use Valhalla Supermassive presets with some tiny tweaks. However, this track represents the closest way I have of speaking in music about the effect The Centaur has had on my thinking. I hope my skills in creating music develop into less cringeworthy expression.

I never realized before that the mere size of our old planet could have hindered the perception of so fair a vision, or her mere quantitative bulk have killed automatically in the mind the possible idea of her being in some sense living. A microbe, endowed with our powers of consciousness, might similarly deny life to the body of the elephant on which it rode; or some wee arguing atom, endowed with mind and senses, persuade itself that the monster upon whose flesh it dwelt were similarly a "heavenly body" of dead, inert matter; the bulk of the "world" that carried them obstructing their perception of its Life."

I am starting to explore my love of electronic ambient music by making some very clunky and awkward steps into this. I am using GarageBand and Valhalla Supermassive. I have a beautiful Dove hammered dulcimer that I don’t get to play very often. 

I am keen to explore using sound as an emotional alternative to writing words in response to books that I have read, particularly sci-fi and fantasy novels. I would love to pursue audio field recording.

Those who couldn't hear the music thought those who danced were crazy.

Hi, I am Dominic :)
Since I was a child I loved music and did always have a very special and intense love for music that was tuned with synthesizers or had electronic elements. 
I can still remember the feeling as a child after hearing some unbelievably good music in the radio of the car while driving with my parents. 
Especially the total lack of words to describe the emotions I felt hearing the music when explaning it to my friends surprised me.
There was a time, I was around 10 years old when my aunt gave me a Cassette on which she recorded her own productions. 
On my birthday we rolled the tape and had really a lot of fun. There was some sequenced and sampled raw techno on it as far as I can tell.
Then I had a huge realization: Everybody can make music and experiment with it.
Pretty soon I started making music my own in the age of 16 when I came across my first Acoustica Mixcraft.
I am known for my loyalty and this also applies to keeping a style I invented when I was in the age of 19/20 with "endlose weiten" and "incoming thunderstorm" among some other tracks.
Since then I kept developing and also experimented a lot with virtual instruments and VST plugins.

My biggest Idol in life is Anthony Favier aka NTO. His beautiful and significant Sound is bringing me joy and motivation to get better every day.
Of course I also adore Worakls, Paul, Bodzin etc. etc. 
Back in time I also loved producing Minimal Techno.
I have a huge love for the music of Nathan Fake and James Holden as well.
