Welcome to the sixth chapter of Mystic Alchemy.

The journey has taken us far.. beyond the edge of the familiar, across shifting sands where the old world whispers through rhythm and ritual. We've reached a point where the desert has changed, and so have you.

We’ve come to an oasis.. but not one of rest. A mysterious forest has risen from the sand..dense, alive, and full of shadows. The music calling you deeper into it's shadows.

The air is thicker. The energy sharper. The magic, heavier. Drums hit harder. The chants grow louder. Before you know it, a ritual is unfolding around you beneath the trees and stars.

The alchemist is forcing you work through sound.. fusing earth and spirit, past and future, movement and memory. You’re not just dancing now. You’re shedding. Confronting. Becoming.

Let yourself go. Let the beat consume you.
This is more than a ritual in the desert.. it’s a rite of passage.

SHEPARD - electrosoft in public garden

 Strasbourg France
Shepard studied classical music in a school of music and played the organ. While creating his
first self-produced album Chroma, he decided to break free from classical rules and compose
electronic tunes, as a free soul, using his eclectic knowledge in music as the basis of his
inspiration.
This album was influenced by a variety of musical sources, giving each track a
distinguishable identity.
Shepard did everything on his own, as if writing an autobiography. However, each track a
universal quality mixing hope and darkness in equal terms and giving birth to a fantasy world.
Chroma blurs the line between colors and sounds and mixes both senses in a common
reference to music and visual arts.
Shepard celebrates the darkest color, black, using S. Steiner’s poem, The Crows of
Copenhagen, as a main source of inspiration. Crows are usually considered a bad omen but in
this album they are a metaphor for open umbrellas covering faces : a transient darkness that
will show its silver lining. And it is this very array of tones and keys that Chroma tries to tune
up to.

	Organiste à la base, sHEPARDpoursuit ses études musicales au conservatoire: ilest avant tout un musicien classique.
	En créant son premier album ( CHROMA, auto produit), il décide cependant de se distancer des conventions et choisit de composer des musiques électroniques tout en utilisant sa culture musicale comme galvanisant. Il créée donc son premier album en faisant figure d'électron libre.
	Ce sont en effet des influences très diverses qui s'inscrivent en filigrane, rendant à chaque titre sa facture singulière.
	Le tout a été orchestré par sHEPARD seul et ce choix s'est imposé naturellement puisque cette création se veut autobiographique. Chacun y décernera cependant l'ambiguïté intrinsèque à la nature humaine et qui jalonne l'album : les ténèbres rivalisent avec l'espérancesans que l'on ne devine qui gagnera les joutes, des fantasmes surgissent çà et là comme autant de flashs semblables à ceux qui jaillissent des Paradis Artificiels (Baudelaire)
	L'album Chroma manifeste la synesthésie couleurs/sons et l'association de ces deux sens, le chromatisme désignant à la fois les demi-tons en musique et l'ensemble des couleurs.
	Et c'est dans Les Corbeaux de Copenhague, aiguillé par le poème éponyme ( de Samael Steiner), que sHEPARD célèbre la couleur la plus sombre, le noir. Considérés comme des oiseaux de mauvais augure, les corbeaux sont ici la métaphore de parapluies ouverts et masquant des visages : noirceur provisoire par conséquent et qui alternera avec la clarté. Et c'est cette palette de tons et de tonalités exhaustifs que Chroma veut exhaler.
	Après avoir travaillé avec le petit théatre du grand oeil (2007, Parce qu'un chat ça n'est pas tout, sélection nationale des Prémonitoires), il collaborera en août2010 avec Max Tilgenkamp (aka Stripmax) lors d'une résidence aux Bains Connective (BXL - BE)
