We had a pleasure to have @techija from Ukraine as a protagonist of our renown "Jungbrunnen" series few years ago. On 07.10.2023 we had an occasion to welcome him personally on our "Mach Mal Langsam" event in the Kreativfabrik in Wiesbaden. No wonder, we had to press record button on. Enjoy the journey!   

Techija is a part of @povilno records, the record label and the creative crew & a community behind the musical "calm down" movement in the Ukrainian capital and Odessa before the russian full scale invasion.

His career as a DJ and musician started just a few years ago, but he has been searching for new sounds since the 90s. 2020 he became a co-founder of the POVILNO RECORDS ("povilno" means "slow" in Ukrainian). This project is supposed to give a push to the development of new dance genres and artists in this country. It accentuates the transience of time, need to "slow down" and live in the moment...

🎶 Bianco & Schlemann presents "Mach Mal Langsam" Afterhour Sounds Podcast Nr. 290 🎶

The two artists Bianco&Schlemann take us on their favourite afterhours today without any detours and have a series of great tracks and moods on board. You can expect a marvellous smorgasbord of different subgenres of electronic dance music, paired with lively lightness and oppressive depth. Everything is wonderfully mixed and in 100 per cent downtempo mode. Either way, their podcast basically reflects the two artists from a sociological point of view. But they explain this in our well-known interview.

✔️ What are your musical Influences?
It all started with raves in the forest, followed by his first experiences with his own official events in smaller Frankfurt clubs and the launch of the Cabinet of Curiosities at Atelierfrankfurt and many, many wild afterhours.
While Bianco's origins lie in house / downtempo and thus in a more melodic sound, Schlemann began with straight techno. Bianco & Schlemann's sound clearly shows this mixture with bouncy but partly dreamy vibes!

✔️ What do you think makes a good afterhour?
Is it over yet? Is it really over already???
New momentum - which brings with it a very special atmosphere. Hard to describe and yet you probably know what it means... don't you?

✔️ What thoughts would you like to share with us about your mix?
We hope the mood we felt while playing the set comes through in the mix - there are certainly some of our ‘afterhour favourite tracks’ included. You could always add one more, just can't find an end, because you don't want this wonderful, sociable time to come to an end. (Really, really over already?!)
