I am the son of Naleen Nageshwar & Meréwailesi Likurua. 

My mother is a native Fijian woman from a royal bloodline in Tailevu. She was known as the "half-caste" or "part European" from #maumi village.

My father is a 3rd generation Indian man born and bred in Fiji. He was raised in #namaka becoming a #nadi local.

They each had individual struggles to face in Fiji as an #indianman & a half-caste #fijianwoman 

They also had a hard time when they decided to be with each other. My #mother side of the family was very open and welcoming. However, dad's side of the family was particularly upset my #father refused an arranged marriage to marry one of the #natives

They had 2 boys. Me and my brother.

Pioneers, they migrated to #australia in search of a better life. Eventually bringing all of my grandparents:

1. Semi Ravulo
2. Unaisi Rokomuri Ravulo
3. Vikram Nageshwar 
4. Kisha Nageshwar 

...to join them. ☺️

INDIAN, FIJIAN & UNKNOWN EUROPEAN BLOOD FLOWS THRU MY VEINS.😤

I am proud to be of my ancestors, I am proud to be of the islands and I am deeply grateful to my parents for never giving in or up.
