This song is stylistically influenced by Queen’s theatrical epics and power ballads like Bohemian Rhapsody, and thematically echoes the heroic musical tone of John Williams’ original Superman soundtrack.

Blending operatic duets, soaring electric guitars, patriotic themes, and cinematic energy, OMGG’s all-female quartet honors the timeless ideals of courage, freedom, and unity — just in time for the U.S. Independence Day.

Today, on the long-awaited premiere of the new *Superman* movie (July 11, 2025), we bring you something *deep from our hearts* – a full-blown cinematic tribute to the heroes we’ve grown up loving. From Superman himself to the entire Marvel universe, and all the unforgettable heroines, heroes, and villains that have inspired us along the way.

As true fans of operatic rock and emotional storytelling, we felt this was **our time** to contribute something to the legacy. "Cape of Light" is our anthem to Superman – a symbol of hope, resilience, and love. The song is infused with dramatic synths, jumpstyle beats, and cinematic male/female vocals, but most of all—it’s powered by emotion.

This release is especially close to our hearts as we also pay tribute to two giants who shaped us:

🎶 **Toto** – for their timeless masterpiece *"Africa"*, a song that still gives us goosebumps and made us fall in love with melodies and harmonies.  
🎸 **Nightwish** – the Finnish operatic metal legends who inspired us to reach for more powerful and theatrical sounds. Mira from OMGG pushed her voice to its operatic limits in this track—this one’s for you, Tuomas & co.
