リパブリック讃歌（英語：Battle Hymn of the Republic）は、1861年にジュリア・ウォード・ハウによって作詞された、アメリカ合衆国を代表する愛国歌の一つです。南北戦争期に生まれたこの歌は、キリスト教的な象徴と愛国心を見事に調和させた作品として知られています。

元々は「ジョン・ブラウンの体は墓の中で朽ちている」という従軍歌のメロディーを基に作られましたが、ハウは深い宗教的意味と愛国的なメッセージを込めた新しい歌詞を付けました。「神の栄光を見た」で始まる歌詞は、聖書の黙示録からインスピレーションを得ており、正義と自由のための戦いを神聖な使命として描いています。

時代とともに、この歌は南北戦争という特定の文脈を超えて、より普遍的な正義と自由の象徴として認識されるようになりました。公民権運動の時代には自由を求める声を代表する歌として歌われ、現代では国家の重要な式典や追悼式などで演奏される機会が多くあります。

第二次世界大戦中に広く歌われた心温まるロシア民謡「カチューシャ」（ロシア語：Катюша）。1938年作曲のこの曲は、前線で戦う恋人を想う乙女の切ない愛を歌った珠玉の名曲です。明るく軽快なメロディーと深い情感が特徴です。

原曲は マトヴェイ・ブランテル作曲、ミハイル・イサコフスキー作詞による「Катюша（カチューシャ）」。テンポの良い4分の2拍子で、ロシアの伝統的な民謡調の旋律に乗せて、祖国を守るために出征した恋人を想い、川辺に立つ少女の純粋な愛を描いています。

With the holiday season upon us, the curmudgeonly Grinch launches his master plan...with a deadly virus, he shall cancel Christmas, banishing all the holiday icons to a faraway land where they can't bring cheer to all the good children in the human world. Can one little troublemaker from Illinois be the key to bringing back the Christmas spirit?

The Sugar-Plum Forest from the Nutcracker takes the place of Waterfall. A war is eternally waging within it between the nutcrackers and the armies of the Mouse King. Almost the entire forest is made of candy and sweets, so no one ever runs out of energy. Several sub-locations are hidden within it, which Kevin can only discover by spelunking through these mysterious woods...

The year 2025 marks the centenary of the Musikkappelle Altheim e. V, conducted by Oliver Herberger. To mark this occasion, the wind band commissioned me a concert march with a solemn and festive character.

The thematic material of the first section of the march is based on a three-note motif, as stated by the brass in the first measure. This is a musical transcription of the name of the town, “ALTHEIM” = A, B, E (A/AL, T (ti)/H = B in German, E/IM = mi). The second part of this theme presents a recurring motif throughout the march (m. 35 ff.). This first section has a festive and resolutely giocoso character. The trio presents a new, more lyrical and solemn theme. After a short divertimento based on the material from the first section, the theme returns in a majestic way, leading to a climactic finale.
