The song captures the essence of Vali Khan's multifaceted legacy: not only did he skillfully lead his people, the Ammarlu, to safety amidst relentless local conflicts, but his patriotic influence was crucial in helping the revered Vakil Al Raaya (President of The People), Mohammad Karim Khan, secure his power base across vital regions like Gilan, Ghazvin, and Rey.

"Vali Khan" is an anthem for the Ammarlu people—historic residents of the Alborz mountains along the shores of the Sepid Rud river—and their connection to the land. The very county they inhabit, Rudbar e Ammarlu (Ammarlu's Valley), bears the name bestowed upon it by this foundational leader.

«ولی خان»، نامی که لرزه بر اندام دشمنان می‌انداخت، سردار سپاهی بود از تبار قهرمانان؛ حکمران و رئیس ایل بزرگ عمارلو در دوران پرتلاطم افشاریه، زندیه و قاجار.

این قطعهٔ حماسی، روایتگر دلیری‌های سرداری است که ایل خود را از میان طوفان‌های سهمگین جنگ‌های محلی به ساحل امن رساند. «ولی خان» فراتر از یک جنگجو بود؛ او بازوی قدرتمند «وکیل الرعایا»، محمد کریم خان زند، در حفظ ثبات و میهن‌پرستی در گیلان، قزوین و ری بود و نقش او در تاریخ آن دوره، فراموش‌نشدنی است.

«ولی خان» زمزمهٔ غرور ایل عمارلو است؛ مردمانی ریشه‌دار در دامنه‌های سرسبز البرز و کرانه‌های خروشان سپید رود. نام شهرستان رودبار عمارلو، میراثی است که این سردار بزرگ به یادگار گذاشت تا پیوند عمیق یک ایل با خاکش، جاودانه بماند.

آندره زند آهنگساز و ترانه‌سرایی است که نخستین آثارش در نوامبر ۲۰۲۵ منتشر شد. او در رودبار عمارلو، بر کرانه‌های کوهستانی شاهرود و سپیدرود زاده شد؛ جایی که هارمونی تصویری طبیعتِ آن—آمیخته با دشت، کوه، مه و رودخانه—در جهان موسیقایی‌اش پژواک یافته است.

ترانه‌های آندره زند پیوندی از رویدادهای واقعی، تاریخ، فرهنگ و شخصیت‌های زنده‌اند و با زبانی سرشار از حس تعلق، احساسات اجتماعی را به تصویر می‌کشند. او با بهره‌گیری از قدرت کلمات، صدا و ساز را به فضایی تصویری بدل می‌کند که هم در ذهن و هم در قلب شنونده نقش می‌بندد.

Short Biography of Andre Zand

Andre Zand is a composer and lyricist whose first works were released in November 2025. He was born in Rudbar e Ammarlu, along the mountainous edges of the Shahrood and Sefidrud rivers, landscapes whose visual harmony of plains, mountains, mist, and flowing water echoes throughout his musical world.

Andre Zand’s songs weave together real events, history, culture, and vivid human characters, expressed through a language filled with a deep sense of belonging that reflects collective and social emotion. Through the power of words, voice, and instrumentation, he transforms sound into imagery, creating scenes that imprint themselves in both the mind and the heart of the listener.

Many listeners find in his music a feeling of long-lost familiarity and belonging, something they sense they have searched for over the years and suddenly, with surprise, discover within his work.

VC JACOBY - POET ON MUSICAL WAYS

Author, poet, cabaret artist, songwriter, voice actor, journalist and even pastor: Volker C. Jacoby is active in many fields.

He spent his childhood and youth in St. Ingbert. Saarland, Germany, where he attended the humanistic and classical language branch of the State Secondary School. After university and various jobs, he began working freelance for „Saarländischer Rundfunk“ Radio, initially as a correspondent for the SR 3 regional news program, in parallel with his readings and literary solo cabaret programs. This was followed by roles as a narrator for radio plays, as a voice actor, and for various commercials.

In 1977, Jacoby teamed up with Schorsch Seitz to form the duo "Jacoby & Schorsch." Together, they primarily composed humorous songs in Standard German and the Rhenish-Franconian-Saarland dialect with a cabaret-like, ironic touch. Their dialect songs, in particular, filled a clearly existing gap in the market, especially since "SR 3 Saarlandwelle" featured them permanently on their programming, thus making them known to a wider audience. Subsequently, "Jacoby and Schorsch" produced three vinyl albums and three singles. During their tours, they also performed open-air gigs with rock bands.

Soon well known beyond the borders of Saarland, the duo received engagements in Berlin, Stuttgart (Südfunk), Cologne (Westdeutscher Rundfunk), Frankfurt, Munich, Basel and Brussels, among others. During a TV recording at the Renitenztheater in Stuttgart, they also met Mathias Richling and Karl Dall. Jacoby collaborated with the latter several times for RTL on the radio show "Die schlaue Stunde." In 1993, the popularity of "Jacoby & Schorsch" peaked – not least through their appearances with Hanns Dieter Hüsch  (A "Hüsch Evening" with music in memory of his friend and cabaret colleague Hanns Dieter Hüsch was added to the repertoire – later in 2010).

He moved to France 1994. Since then, he has been performed readings, including singing. His dialect contributions have provided him with a rewarding outlet in the "Mundartring Saar" (Saarland dialect circle), including as a reciter of poems by deceased fellow authors, to whom he lends his voice.

Constantly prolific in literary terms, his poems are in the tradition of comic poetry in the style of Wilhelm Busch, Christian Morgenstern, Joachim Ringelnatz, Eugen Roth, Heinz Erhardt and Robert Gernhardt. Volker C. Jacoby also publishes his poetry and prose on LiteratPro, Facebook and YouTube. Since 2025, he has been setting his poems to music and is constantly writing new songs. And, of course, he continues to write his cheerful, humorous, and often very quirky poems.

I am Sandbird, a composer living in the south of France. My music is born between sea and sky, carried by Mediterranean winds and waking dreams.

Among the musicians who walk beside me and guide my steps are J.S. Bach, John Williams, Paul Simon, Carlos Jobim, and many others. Their presence is like a hand reaching out, leading me toward melodies yet to be found.

I discover themes on my daughter’s piano, through my guitar, or simply while dreaming. Each note is a meeting, each harmony a breath.

I do not use artificial intelligence to compose — only, at times, to find beautiful images that accompany my music.

On a beach, with eyes wide open to the sky, I take flight like a sandbird. It is there that my music rises: intimate, free, and always searching for light.

Thundy The Griffon is a musician with over 20 years of experience. He is a multi instrumentalist that plays over 10 different instruments including piano, saxophone, guitar, drums, bass, mandolin, trumpet, ocarina and hanpan. He started composing in 2009 and later picked up production and songwriting. He now has been composing and producing for 16 years. Thundy also sings and writes lyrics. You can find Thundy The Griffon on YouTube as Thunder Dash. Thundy also manages two other SoundCloud accounts. One account hosts his much older works while the other hosts custom synth sounds and other resources.
