A family member of mine used this phrase to describe me to brothers and sisters at the hall when asked about my whereabouts. I think I tried to enter the mind of the person who said that about me, the pressure he must have felt from the congregation, and the ineffectiveness he may have placed on his own shoulders in "failing" to persuade me with his beliefs. This is the toxic nature that thrives in the JW culture and it ruins families and lives.

I wrote this song to capture the essence of moving on from a bad relationship. It hurts at first, but as you pick up and discard the pieces, you realize that you've lost the person you used to be; that's when the healing can begin.
