Nur kurz nach der Wiederwahl von Donald Trump fällt in Deutschland die Ampelregierung auseinander – Neuwahlen stehen an und die Zukunft des CanG, des neuen Cannabisgesetzes, ist in Gefahr. Bayerns Ministerpräsident Markus Söder und Unionschef Friedrich Merz haben bereits Zweifel an der Entkriminalisierung geäußert und die Reform als „Fehler“ bezeichnet. Doch was bedeutet das für die Hanfreform?

Nachdem Finanzminister Lindner entlassen wurde, zog die FDP sich aus der Koalition zurück, was SPD und Grünen eine Mehrheit unmöglich macht. Scholz hat die Neuwahlen angekündigt, wenn auch wohl erst Anfang 2025. Die Union, aktuell im Umfragehoch, könnte bei einer Regierungsübernahme das CanG verschärfen. Auch SPD-Politiker wie Dirk Heidenblut bestätigen, dass es hier Restriktionen geben könnte, doch eine vollständige Rücknahme der Reform gilt als unwahrscheinlich – allein weil die Union dafür einen Koalitionspartner bräuchte, der die Entkriminalisierung unterstützt.

Für die Legalisierungsbewegung bedeutet das jedoch, dass ihre Bemühungen verstärkt werden müssen, um die erzielten Erfolge zu erhalten und für den weiteren Liberalisierungsschritt zu kämpfen. Dass das CanG vollständig abgeschafft wird, scheint weniger wahrscheinlich, aber eine Überarbeitung zugunsten restriktiver Regeln könnte bevorstehen. Der Kampf geht weiter, denn Cannabis gehört zur modernen Gesellschaft und muss endlich vollständig und fair reguliert werden.
