Keep On The Groove w/ Pace - 08.06.23

Since this mix was uploaded and added to a public playlist and all playlists are public by default and I don’t see a reason to change this (except the fact, of course, that I would not need to explain anything…) I maybe should explain two things: 
First, I downloaded this mix from YouTube where it is freely available under the same name and I uploaded it to SoundCloud because for some reasons I needed it in my current playlist: 2024-02-Mixes. The reasons are, like the playlist itself, of pure private nature and purpose, but public. That’s because I generally like to share and especially the music I love and, however, I know, at least a few people like some of them, somehow. I don’t see that I would steal something, in fact I do promote the artists, labels and sources. Further, I couldn’t prove that I am violating any laws or terms of usage.  Finally I don’t see that I would act against the interests of the artist and associated label since I can find on YouTube as well as on SoundCloud a great number of  freely available tracks from the very same artist and label. But if, however, you see a problem here, let me know.
I really do recommend a membership subscription for YouTube as well as for SoundCloud. You will get the music in high quality without ads. It is worth mentioning, that the audio quality for non membership accounts seems to be quite good on SoundCloud as well as on YouTube. That’s great and fair, but if it makes you think that you don’t need a membership, just try it out. Even if you think that the free quality is ok for you, the high quality audio is really a different experience. I believe it is really worth the money even not speaking about these annoying ads, and the pricing is ok. It is even extremely ok, when I remember how much money I used to spend for music on a material basis. 
(Btw, I still have all my vinyl records. I love them, love to see them, to touch them, even to smell them and I would never give them away. How many records I’ve got I don’t know. Last time I counted them was more than  30 years ago, with a result over 1000. But I almost never play them anymore, simply because I can find them, or the music on them, so much faster online and often with a better sound quality. Having that many records always creates the problem to find that record, even if they are perfectly ordered  but you could never make up your mind to sort them strictly alphabetically.
Further I believe, it really worth supporting these services, and especially SoundCloud. I mean also YouTube is worth support, but, as we all know, as a part of Google, support in form of a subscription probably plays only a minor role in YouTube’s and Google’s business strategy. And even further, I think you understand what I mean. 
Remember that for many years SoundCloud was nearly non-commercial and (imagine!)  absolutely ads free while offering great services for a great communit with a graat,  lovely design? Sites of this kind really deserve to be supported and I love to do so. But what about the artists? I mean absolutely everything here is based on their work, but I have to say that I don’t really know how and to what extent they benefit financially from streaming media. I know that SoundCloud offers special services for artists like monetizing directly with SoundCloud to get paid. Taking into account that especially the artists should benefit financially, membership pricing seems almost ridiculously low. So for me, my SoundCloud Membership gives me the good feeling, being not only a consumer but also being a supporter. But I have no idea if this way of payment for the artists is fair and appropriate or at least not extremely far away from being it. 
Second, all glory, of course, goes to Martin Landsky and the involved artists. The music is deeply fantastic and, useless to say, Martin Landsky is an absolutely fantastic DJ.

The Judge

Ronald Fabbro is a dedicated DJ with an love for electronic music. He has embarked on a never-ending quest to collect and curate tracks. With an extensive collection spanning both vinyl and digital, he explores the diverse genres that make this genre so captivating. What sets him apart is his unwavering enthusiasm for thinking outside the box. While his music ranges from Deep House to Melodic and Afro, it also encompasses the realms of Breakbeat, Electro, and Techno. His versatile taste allows him to weave together a rich tapestry of sounds, always infusing warmth and melody into each mix. To share his passion with a wider audience, he as created his own SoundCloud platform, called 'Home Studio Recordings'. Through this channel, he takes immense pleasure in curating and delivering sets.

Originally from South London, Pace has been DJ’n at many of the most renowned clubs in Sydney for the past decade, and in Austria, Ibiza and Guatemala on his travels. His versatile style blends across genres, but often falls on the deeper side of house.

A massive fan of warm up sets and building dance floors, he has also taken over the reins of packed dance floors by supporting established international DJ’s like Francesca Lombardo, Alex Niggemann and Oliver Schories. 

In 2018 he combined forces with Eddy Wells to form Vagabonds which has seen them play several festivals across NSW such as Return To Rio, Secret Valley, Subsonic, Neomenia and Electronic Gardens. 

They’ve run a handful of sold out Yacht parties under the Vagabonds brand, with Paris’s finest Molly headlining the last event, and they have also been booked to spin for some of the leading underground Sydney brands in Sash, Bodyworks, WeLove, The Fan Club, T1000 and Blueprint to name a few.

Pace sees the dance floor as a healing space where people can connect at a deeper level through music, and aims to share music that energies and inspires movement.
