Reading from Matthew 23: 27, 28, 24
- Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.
- So you, too, outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
- You blind guides who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel…

Woe to you, scribes and leaders
Blind in your foolishness
Liars and deceivers
Bound by your sinfulness!

You steal good men’s fortunes
You devour the widows’ homes
You are like whitewashed tombs
Full of dead men’s bones

Wielders of man-made doctrines
Forsaking the laws of God
And beating the sheep of the kingdom
Wth your shepherd’s rod

Won’t you humble yourself to the people?
Be a servant to all mankind
Won’t you call on your heavenly Father?
And eternal life you will find

Woe to you, priests and preachers
Leading the flock astray
Proclaiming yourself as teachers
When you’ve not learned how to pray

You forget the poor and the homeless
And take advantage of those who give
You build your churches and your steeples
When orphans have no place to live

You make yourself to be righteous
Seeking the praise of men
You hypocrites and glory-seekers
Full of compromise and sin!

Won’t you humble yourself to the people?
Be a servant to all mankind
Won’t you call on your heavenly father?
And eternal life you will find

Reading from Matthew 23: 33
- You serpents, you brood of vipers, how will you escape the sentence of hell?

Epilogue
You defame and persecute those who point out your illicit and non-biblical doctrines.
You ethnically cleanse the Palestinians – descendants of the first followers of Jesus.
Humble yourself to the people and be a servant to all mankind.
Call on your heavenly father and eternal life you will find…

This creative team met back in high school in Houston, Texas in 1969. They became friends quickly and discovered a unique synergy early on – songwriting. Keith manifested his expressions mostly in the area of lyrics, while Raji fashioned his creativity through melodies and arrangements.

The number of songs that they generated as young teens in a short period of time was incredible. What was even more astonishing was that neither of them could read a musical note, and yet they were able to compose lyrics, tunes, chords, beats, and develop sophisticated arrangements.

School, work, marriage, children, and associations with other bands threw them onto separate life paths. Raji continued composing with other bands and on his own, while Keith officially took a long hiatus.

The team temporarily regrouped in the early 1980’s for a few profound Christian musical offerings. Eventually, Raji found the time and energy to record many of their earlier songs and publish them – both in several of his novels and on soundcloud.com. Then in late 2021 they regrouped once more to continue their creative journey together.

Founded in 1986, Lancaster Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church pastored by Dr. Paul Chappell. It is located north of Los Angeles in the Antelope Valley. Lancaster Baptist Church has grown to become one of the largest Baptist churches in the country.

Reproducing the full life of Jesus by discipling one another in missional congregations where everyone knows your name.

At PBC our longing is that people encounter the Lord Himself. 
We regularly pray that someone who joins us will be drawn to some inescapable conclusions:

“God is really among you!”

“Look how you love one another!”

And that after ministry their sense would be that “God did that!” This leaves us dependent upon God because ultimately it is about whether He does this or not.

We are passionate about the “finished product”, which ironically is something that will never be finished in this life. That “product” is not a big congregation or a new building or great services or a profile in the community. The “product” is ultimately personal and concerns who and what we are becoming. We believe that we are on this earth to discover, live out and pass on what it means to be whole-hearted followers of Jesus.
