Spring's Gift

I envy the sand that met his feet
I’m jealous of honey he tasted sweet
Of birds that hovered above his head
Of spiders who spun their sacred web
To save him from his enemies
I envy clouds formed from the seas
That gave him cover from the heat
Of a sun whose light could not compete
With his, whose face did shine so bright
That all was clear in blinding night
I envy sightless trees that gazed
Upon his form completely dazed
Not knowing if the sun had risen
But felt themselves in unison
With those who prayed, and fasted too
Simply because he told them to
With truth and kindness, charity
From God who gave such clarity
His mercy comes in one He sent
To mold our hearts more heaven bent
I envy all there at his side
Who watched the turning of the tide
As truth prevailed and falsehood fled
And hope restored life to the dead
Men and Women through him found grace
To seek together God’s noble face
I envy the cup that gave him drink
His thoughts that helped us all to think
To be one thought that passed his mind
Inspiring him to act so kind
For me this world is not one jot
If I could simply be a thought
From him to God throughout the ages
As revelation came in stages
I pity all who think it odd
To hear him say there is one God
Or he was sent by God to men
To hone their spirits’ acumen
It’s pride that blinds us from the sight
That helps good men to see his light
He taught us all to be God’s slaves
And he will be the one who saves
Humanity from sinful pride
Muhammad has God on his side
So on this day be blessed and sing
For he was born to grace our Spring
With lilies, flowers, life’s rebirth
In a dome of green like his on earth

The Salutation Upon the Twelve Imams:

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى السَّيِّدَةِ فَاطِمَة خَيْرِ النِّسَاءِ وَسَيِّدِنَا عَلِيِّ الْمُرْتَضَى وَسَيِّدِنَا الْحَسَنِ الْمُجْتَبَى وَسَيِّدِنَا الْحُسَيْنِ مِسْكِ الرِّضَا وَسَيِّدِنَا عَلِيِّ ابْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ زَيْنِ الْعَابِدِيْنَ وَسَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدِ الْبَاقِرِ الزَّكِيِّ الْمُهْتَدَى وَسَيِّدِنَا جَعْفَرِ الصَّادِقِ بَحْرِ الْعُلُومِ الْمُرْتَضَى وَسَيِّدِنَا مُوْسَى الْكَاظِمِ إِمَامِ الصَّفَا وَسَيِّدِنَا عَلِيِّ الرِّضَا سَيِّدِ الْأَصْفِيَاءِ وَسَيِّدِنَا الإِمَامِ مُحَمَّدِ الْجَوَّادِ التَّقِى وَسَيِّدِنَا عَلِيِّ الْهَادِى الْمُكَرَّمِ النَّقِي وَسَيِّدِنَا الإِمَامِ الْحَسَنِ الْعَسْكَرِى نُوْرِ الْهُدَى وَسَيِّدِنَا الإِمَامِ مُحَمَّدِ الْمَهْدِى الْحُجَّةِ القَائِمِ الْمُنْتَظَرِ الإمَامِ آخِرِ الزَّمَان

The following benefits have been recorded for this particular salutation. It includes the following:

1) For the fulfilment of needs, recite it as a tawassul 7 times.
2) For healing of illnesses recite it 3 times and blow on water.
3) To repel the evil of Jinn recite it 7 times in the morning and 7 times in the evening.
4) For sustenance (rizq) recite it 21 times.
5) For the vision of the Prophet i recite it 7 times before sleeping.
6) To remove zulma, evil-eye and hasad recite it 7 or 11 times.
7) For love of the Ahl al-Bayt recite it 7 or 11 times.
8) For purification and to receive the traits of the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt recite it 100 times.
9) To remove the lower human traits recite it 33 times.
10) To prevent evil and envy from the 6 dimensions recite it 11 times after each prayer.
11) To receive spiritual knowledge recite it 21 times.
12) To remove terminal illnesses and cancer recite it 7 times in the morning and 7 times in the evening.
13) To have a vision of the Ahl al-Bayt recite it 7 times and send the reward to them before going to sleep.
14) To improve memory, recite once after every prayer.
15) For female related illnesses, recite it 3 times and blow on water.
16) For blessings on bukhur recite it 11 times on bukhur.
17) For expansion and openings in knowledge recite it 21 times.
18) If you miss your awrād of the day then recite it
11 times.
19) To gain the opportunity to perform Hajj recite it
21 times every day.
20) For all types of aches and pains, including ear ache and tooth ache recite it 3 times.
21) For epilepsy recite it 7 times in the morning and
7 times in the evening.
22) For constipation recite it 3 times.
23) For vomiting recite it 3 times.
24) To pass exams recite it 7 times every day.
25) To conceive a child recite it 21 times.
26) To visit the noble city Madinah recite it 21 times.
27) To acquire beneficial knowledge, recite it 21 times.
28) To veil oneself from enemies recite it 7 times in the morning and 7 times in the evening.
