This is the first time I have shared Psyphoria live as a presentation online. 

Over the years there has been a lot of confusion about my music and my being.

Some people perceive that my music is dark, some perceive it as light.

The truth is that it is not light or dark it is the grey between.

Since 2005 I have been on a path to share magic with the world, through what used to be DJ Psyphoria FULL POWER!!! And since evolved into the Psyphoria live act.

Let me begin by saying I have been fasting since 11/11 from many different things, including my online presence. During my pre-winter solstice prep, I have engaged in intimate meditations leading to revelations. Sentience Divine is a byproduct of the root work I have immerse myself in. It is my first time featuring a full album with my custom designed Trichord instrument. I am playing everything on the entire project. The project features Sacred Sounds for SELF-Care and Relaxation. The sound quality is of top high fidelity. 

REDESIGN

My custom Trichord instrument that is a one sided Kotamo (koto, tanpura, monochord) is the featured instrument on every project. I requested special modifications to the Trichord that enables me to perform with it in unique ways. I created custom VST instrument sound design in conjunction with using special triggering technology to turn the Trichord into a synthesizer. I call this technique the Monochord WaveWash©. You can experience the Monochord WaveWash© on “Samadhi Dreams”, “Saucha”, and “Amani”. Another custom boutique instrument used during this recording experience was an air synthesizer that uses ultrasonic technology. You can witness it on “Feelings of Being” and “Amani”.

RESEARCH

My first introduction to the Kotamo was through the work of Fabien Maman during my research in alternative sound therapies. The surmountable science based research he provides for uses of sound, Qi Gong, medicinal music, and frequency lead me to explore harmonic, overtone, chord, and string instrument theory. Recently, I came across the monochord music album of the late Sonia Slany who I learned used the monochord in the sound score of one of my favorite films, The Lord of the Rings. I enjoy The Lord of the Rings series so much because of both the sound design of the monochord and the broader message of using coexistence and cooperation to overcome challenges.

Formed in 2005 by Don de Valle to be a cutting edge live dj based performer and producer act. Psyphoria has always been a very powerful and tricked out act rocking dance floors with a modern or cutting edge variation of Full-On Psy Trance.

From 2013 Psyphoria has been honoured to have represented some of the greatest labels and sounds that his favoured sound have to offer.

Currently you can expect Don to harness the energy of the sounds of Swiss Fractal Records, Spanish Dropland Recordings, Japan's Terror Lab Industries/Diss Master Records and Mexican Lysergic Records.

In 2015 Don stepped into managing South Africa's Kaos Krew Records, and in 2018 became a partner. A growing label, hosting and releasing Full-On Psy of all levels from Iconic Sound designers through to debut releases from up and coming artists worldwide. This is where he released his Debut Compilation Augmented Invasion in 2017 which saw the top 30 in the Beatport Psy Charts. His release was really a must have Night Full-On release that year.

Psyphoria has performed at all levels all over Australia and in Central Western Europe throughout his career, with his debut large festival booking at Babylon Festival 2017.

Don will be returning to Australia from touring in India and South Africa for a very limited show tour summer of 2019 after taking a break from performing to focus on the label and reinventing his approach to FULL POWER!!! Performance

Known for his creative individuality, Shannon continues to push limits dynamically in the DJ/music production/composition scenes.  His ubiquitous disc jockey programming and on-air personality opened up many opportunities for him to travel worldwide to 5 continents and have DJ residencies in various nightclubs, festivals and other global events. Shannon has honed his skills as a professional DJ for 28 years and world touring DJ/Musician/artist performing in 5 continents globally for the past 11 years. He has worked as a international recording artist for 15 years with releases on labels in Chicago, Japan, London, Kenya, and Italy.  Currently, he uses his music to empower indigenous communities through self-sustainability training via his non-profit NGO, ASSIST Society, in Africa and Central American in conjunction with community/environmental activism and teaching sound healing via his registered brand Audio Pharmacology®.
