     Music, because of its connections with the brain, is intrinsically meaningful to humanity as a race. We thrive off it. It drives our actions and emotions, and its influence on our brains creates a sense of unity with music that few other art forms can provide.

Music and spirituality are intricately related, with spirituality often being the inspiration for the creation of music, and music so often creating the desired atmosphere for a spiritual occasion.


When we listen to our favorite songs, dopamine is released by two distinct areas of the brain—one involved with intense pleasure and the other involved with anticipation. This combination may explain why people love music so much. Even sad music has been shown to help people feel better

Ropatt (aka Ron Patton) is a dynamic pop, jazz, and R&B artist who first made waves with his 2003 album Biggie Was Here. Hailing from Michigan, Ron dove into songwriting during college and became a staff writer for the legendary Holland-Dozier-Holland team. 

Co-founding Baywest Records in Northern California, his work as a producer and arranger has been featured on major outlets like Oxygen and Animal Planet. Ropatt is also an author, having written Fables & Proverbs: Songwriting's Secret Weapon and Alternate Reels: Recasting Iconic Movie Roles, both available on Amazon.
