My song "Out Of The Dark" tells the story of a couple going through a difficult time but trying to find a way out! I combined an emotional vocal with a hopeful-sounding rave part to bring across the emotions behind this story. In fact, the whole song is an evolving piece of music that starts rather dark and develops into a euphoric tune later on.

Gordon McInnes is from Glasgow and has lived there all of his life. He has been writing and producing music for the past 26 years. Gordon comes from a musical background. His late father was an ardent home producer in his spare time, writing and producing music in the style of New Age and ‘Gregorian Chants’ and has strongly influenced Gordon in his appreciation for the New Age Genre, Enya, Deep Forrest, Enigma. Gordon’s music has been heavily influenced by well known Trance acts such as 'Chicane' ‘Solar Stone’, ‘Blank and Jones’, ‘4-Strings’, ‘Space Brothers’ and ‘Rank 1’ all of which have influenced Gordon’s Trance projects whereby he goes by the alias ‘Goldengate’ which he started as a Trance project back in 2002.

I love music and produce the genre that I love which is Progressive Trance specifically in the style of Trance music from the late 90s to the early 2000s. When I started this project back in the summer of 2002 aged 18 after coming up with numerous names that would suit my style coined as ‘haunting and melodic Trance’ I settled on the name ‘Goldengate’..

Looking back I realize that I was always in love with fresh sounding, emotional, rave-style music, and basically had a spark with this type of music for a long time. Just as I had the first instrument in my hands I would start trying out what it can sound like or what I can come up with. So no wonder that when I first saw people create in FL Studio my interest was awakened, and I wanted to switch from playing just one instrument to making full tracks. I practiced for many years and it certainly was a constant up and down. I always had a certain quality in mind and I can proudly say that I am finally getting there. Since this world evolves around money to some point I decided that I want to make a living with music because it is the one thing I have always had energy and love for. My entire being - thoughtful, creative, and always wanting to try new ideas - performs best when it can do what it loves. I am a dreamer and I love my freedom, that's why this whole universe theme is so strong for me - it perfectly unites this. And next to all of that I want to inspire people - I want to show it's possible, I want to encourage others, have a positive impact on my surroundings, while I myself grow with the challenges this project gives me. I am grateful for everyone being there, listening, and supporting me and my tracks, and I do my best to provide a fantastic journey!

This series isn't a race against time to get the latest tracks & promo's in a mix, its a journey through Uplifting and Emotional trance throughout the years to the present day. Regular episodes, plus Rewinds, classic and special ones  are added every week, and also the occasional guest mix. Im not one for shouting for fame, getting involved in musical opinions in public, blazing out a Logo's or Hyping myself up. Its just nice for people to enjoy the effort and consideration that i put into this Series that I started back in 1999.
