Chaos Theory mix #5

My latest album release “Hexad” is exclusive to Soundcloud and consists of 4 tracks all related through themes/sounds and by using a maximum of 6 synthesizers (+ vox samples of me from my Octatrack). Hexad I-IV differ somewhat in mood, structure, melody & length. Slower, more downtempo vibe here as the tempo sits around 88-110 bpm. Enjoy!

Universe Of Sounds

A 30 minute traktor mix which is something I’ve been thinking about doing for a long time. Recorded this yesterday so very fresh & raw:) Kind of like 3 tracks rolled into 1, with a blend of sequenced & live improvisation (using a midi controller). Had fun doing this so may release a new 30 minute mix later. Synths included are: Mophatt, Jv-2080, DRM1- mk iv, ER-1, Blofeld, Planet Earth, Snow, Micro modular. Voices recorded (of me) are from 2010. Recommend listening on headphones:)

24 minutes of House beats & synth sounds including: 
Crave (7 step seq.), Mophatt (female vox), Planet Earth (weird solo sound), ER-1, DR-1 mk IV, Subharmonicon (bass), JV-2080 (various perc.), Micro modular (i.e. rising sine waves), Octatrack (2 vox samples). Parts of the track are improvised using a midi keyboard to play the synth various patches:) 

Ps. Highly recommend listening on decent headphones.

Testing a new toy (MEGAfm) that is a sleek & lovely 4 op. FM synthesizer. Great for sound design. Track also includes a patch on the tiny red Clavia Micro Modular (not my patch) so from time to time you will hear a weird, synthetic voice in the mix:) Is this Electronica or what? Headphones recommended!

Brillman has been an electronic online musician during the last 20 years using many different names: Brillman, Controlfreak, freakcontrol, Red Karma, Atmosphere, Zero Loop, Pan64, Randomcontrol, geometric delay and Superfreak! Brillman mainly creates original sounds from hardware synths but also uses guitar, samplers, vocals or even poetry. He primarily utilizes a 4 to the floor approach. The aesthetics behind the music is about finding a balance between minimalism vs. depth & improvisation vs. programmed.
