Llevo mucho tiempo queriendo hacer un tema de militant stepper, más o menos como lo hice con Warrior Stepper: Un tema con partes orquestales, que fuera bailable... Pero había un problema: Que quería un tema que despertase el espíritu de lucha del oyente, y esa era la parte más difícil de todas.

Tras darle muchas vueltas, pensé "¿Y porqué no recurrir a los clásicos?".

A Las Barricadas es una de las canciones más populares del anarcosindicalismo español, lleva acompañándonos en la lucha desde 1933, y ha sido versionada cientos, si no miles de veces, por grupos y artistas musicales de todo tipo.

¡Por cierto! La fecha del lanzamiento no ha sido elegida al azar. El 8 de diciembre se conmemora la Revolución de Diciembre de 1933, una huelga general revolucionaria que se extendió ampliamente por todo el país.

"Simply wanting everything to be ok" is a dense yet spacious mix crafted by Opo (Jokkoo Collective, Barcelona) for the 8th episode of the first season of Dubbing the Everyday. 

The episode consist in a conversation between Jokkoo's music archive, the artist's sound diary, the soundtrack, poetry and testimonies of the documentary Handsworth Song's by the Black Audio Film Collective and Sónia Vaz Borges' reflections on militant memory. 

Built through live dubbing, reverb feedbacks, and improvisation, it traces a journey from grief to groove, from collective testimony to shared resonance.

Ce mois-ci, 𝘋𝘐𝘚𝘚𝘖𝘕𝘈𝘕𝘊𝘌 revient sur la période politique & sociale qui l'a vu naître : le mouvement du dix septembre.

Mai 2025. Dans une période politique instable, naît un mouvement de contestation portée par la colère populaire : Indignons Nous / Bloquons tout. Des mots d’ordre : appel à la justice sociale & fiscale, fin de la guerre en Palestine, destitution, grève générale, blocage national total. Et une date : le 10 septembre 2025.
Nos micros à la main, on a sillonné la Bretagne, de Lorient jusqu'à Nantes en passant par Guingamp, Dinan & Saint-Malo, pour aller à la rencontre des personnes ayant vécu cette séquence forte de colère sociale et recueillir leur témoignage. Militant•es de longue date, primo-militant•es, ou pas militant•es du tout : venu•es de tous horizons, de milieux différents, de tous âges et de tous genres, tous•tes rassemblé•s à la faveur de la lutte.

Chroniques collectives du mouvement du 10 septembre entre ras-le-bol politique, organisation collective populaire, résignation militante & rencontres au coeur de la lutte.

First, Graphic designer for..ever... Music production came to my life in 2011 in some very particulars moments for me.
It has always been for my spare-times but it took another level since 2023 when I decided to come back to my roots producing exclusively reggae-Dub inspired tunes with deep spiritual, conscious & militant vibes...mixing Heavy Steppa of today with 'Roots & Culture' and 'Early Digital'...or maybe some Jungle or Raggatek touch...!

𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗔 𝗗𝗘 𝗟𝗨𝗧𝗧𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗣𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗙, 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗙 & 𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟

𝘋𝘐𝘚𝘚𝘖𝘕𝘈𝘕𝘊𝘌, c’est un outil militant au service des luttes & de la résistance populaire.
Né au coeur des mouvements sociaux de la volonté de créer un média indépendant qui porterait la pluralité des voix de nos luttes & de notre colère commune, c’est un outil militant d’information & d’éveil politique.

C’est une plateforme qui porte, une passerelle qui relie, un lien qui rassemble : à travers des formats où différentes voix se mêlent, partir de la parole des gens pour l’amplifier.
Recueillir, rassembler puis mettre en parallèle des témoignages, des récits, des voix individuelles pour construire & diffuser un discours collectif puissant & résolument politique.

Donner la parole pour redonner du pouvoir : politisé•e ou non, militant•e ou non, laisser s’exprimer toutes les voix pour rendre à tous•tes son agentivité et l’envie de se battre.

Slothmachines is the moniker with which Francesco has been spreading his sound research for years, performing djsets and experimentations that move across different genres, boundaries and BPMs of contemporary electronic music. Francesco mutuates a playful and yet critical attitude to listening and djing from his work as social researcher, as evident in the eclectic and ever-changing soundscapes he creates  by mixing music with sound cues drawn from his life between the city and the countryside.  He is co-founder and resident of the audio-video collective Stasis, which has been moving in and out of clubs since 2018, curating parties, concerts, exhibitions, workshops, installations and editorial contents.  He has residency on Rough Radio called "Dubbing the everyday" which is broadcasted every 2nd tuesday of the month.
