Paco Osuna welcomes DJ Boris to his label Mindshake for a chunky house and jacking techno EP that also features a remix from Paco Osuna and Fer BR under their shared alias Project00.

DJ Boris is a Russian born artist who's based in the American capital city New York, and he's well-known for his upbeat style that ranges between chunky tech house and thumping techno.

His two original tracks on this EP lean more towards his house music side, but still incorporate techno elements with tough percussion and loop focused grooves in the style he has featured on other labels such as Eats Everything's Edible, Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records and Elrow Music.

Spain's Paco Osuna is a DJ icon who has worked with record labels ranging from Richie Hawtin's Minus to John Digweed's Bedrock. Project00 is an alias that Paco Osuna shares with Fer BR who's an eclectic artist also based in Spain, and has featured solo tracks on other labels such as Claude VonStroke's Dirtybrid and Adam Beyer's Truesoul.

'Body Burning' opens the release with the raw funk of a disco-tinged bassline that's combined with bumping percussion and filter swept vocals. Project00's remix of Body Burning adds extra intensity with its half bar resample to create a fast-flowing techno groove. 'Keep Pushin' closes the release with its techy stabs and dark atmosphere combined with thrashing offbeat percussion.

Paco Osuna's Mindshake welcomes a new techno release from Egbert who is well-known for his enthralling style with brooding intensity.

Based in the Netherlands, Egbert has released his music on scene leading techno labels such as Drumcode, Terminal M and Second State.

Egbert has been a regular feature of Mindshake, and this is his fifth solo EP in addition to numerous remixes and VA appearances.

Each of the three original tracks on this EP has a peak time energy with driving percussion and captivating synth lines.

"Overpressure" opens the release with its pulsating bassline and acid stabs that are augmented with explosive vocal textures. "Machine" has fizzing hi-hats and a hypnotic synth line that add to the funk-fuelled groove. "Power" closes out the release with its pounding kick drum and onslaught of fast-flowing rhythms underpinned by a monstrous bassline.

Fer BR (Mindshake / Minus) is born on October 1984 in Spain , hardly influenced by the Techno scene in 2000.

He is an artist of the new batch of Spanish producers that is gaining attention in the Electronic Dance Music Scene. Specialist creating energetic grooves while elegant ,creating music focused on the dance floor while using futuristic dark funk sounds... This is why his productions have taken the best charts and top sales lists last year receiving Chart and Dj support by many established artist like Carl Cox , Richie Hawtin , Paco Osuna ,Marco Carola or Dubfire.

After succesfully releases on Potobolo or Waveform Recordings, he has been called by Paco Osuna to be an active part of his "family", Mindshake Records, giving him a big chance to work exclusively , sharing the Label and Showcasing with major artists on the international scene . This close relation with Mindshake and affinity in sound , opened the doors of Richie Hawtins´s Imprint, MINUS , with the acclaimed Envelopes EP .

As DJ and live act artist ,Fer BR was touring around the world the last years, spinning Techno and minimal grooves . Definitively one of the most creative Spanish artists and a perfect electronic music chameleon.

Bueno pues todo empezó por que yo tenia un primo que era dj, era muy conocido por la zona pinchando en grandes salas como  Basik, Crepusculo, Coliseum, Power X (de la cual fue dueño durante un tiempo) Sala ByPass de aqui de Lodosa que actualmente esta cerrada, y muchas mas! Bueno pues yo le veía y entonces me empezó a interesar la música con 12 años, a los 13 años pedí mi primera mesa, aunque utilizaba el virtual dj hasta que con los 13-14 años ya empeze a utilizar el Traktor,a los 17 empeze a aprender con los reproductores! pero mi primo pinchaba progresivo y rememmber en esos años, pero como aqui en Lodosa habia mucha aficion al techno y de hecho hay, también habia otro dj aqui en Lodosa, que de hecho es de el que aprendido casi todo lo que se, que pinchaba Techno House y me molaba ese rollo, entonces ya poco a poco, horas y horas, pues he ido aprendiendo, a los 16 años pinche por primera vez en El Tubo, un bar de aqui de Lodosa, conocido en la zona por la fiesta! a los 17-18 comenze de residente! aunque no he salido mucho a pinchar fuera, he estado actuando en Sala Totem (Pamplona) Antigua Sala Basik (Cintruenigo) y en New Guass (Bergara) una de las salas mas conocidas en el Norte de nuestro país y tambien a algun pueblo alrrededor de  Lodosa, hasta aora es lo que hay jaja espero que sigamos a mas!

Things took off for Barbuto after his first release on Octopus Recordings having attracted the likes of Enrico Sangiuliano who eventually remixed his follow up EP Vanta Black. That same year Barbuto appeared in the pages of DJ Mag who came across a set of his from Coda in Toronto touting it as one of the best sets of the year. Since signing with Octopus labels Tronic, Phobiq, OFF, Unity and Transmit amongst others have released Barbuto’s music which  attracted the attention of mainstay artists like, Spektre, Black Asteroid and Loco & Jam who all signed up for remix duty for Barbuto’s most premiere releases. On the receiving end of remix requests have come from label heads Fatima Haji for her Silver M label, Hollen, Filterheadz, Rafaelle Rizzi, Riot’s Frankyeffe and Kostas Maskalides to name a few. 
Originally from Sydney however unbeknownst to his homeland his skill set and musical prowess would develop over 20 years later in 1999 upon relocating to the United States and eventually settling in Austin, Texas, the Live Music Capital of the World. It was here where Christian Barbuto would fully realize his creative ability and refine his skill set in the dj booth which is where he is most comfortable and shines.
Over the course of nearly 2 decades his ever-evolving sound remains loyal to percussion and arpeggiated driven dance floor friendly techno. Watch in awe as Barbuto's sets cast a spell upon the dance floor.

His ability behind the decks and in the studio has not only made him a New York favorite, but his music has taken him places all around the world ranging from the shores of Playa Del Carmen to the magical White Isle known as Ibiza. Known to many as the ‘DJ’s DJ’, Boris has had the career most DJs can only wish to have. The trends, they may change but the New York native has stayed true to his drum driven sounds and created his own niche in the wide and vast world of electronic music.
