DnB Family: Summer Session DJ Competition

“Testing. Being tested is form a resilience, intelligence and action. We do it to find our limits and where the edge lies. This track was produced to force the listener to think about what their limitations are and how deep they are willing to cut to find their purpose. Damage will be done. Nothing wrong with a little bit of renovative rage. It’s a DIY SOS type beat but in the form of destruction to rebuild”. – Dundew.
"The lyrics for Testing came to me naturally when I heard the production due to the energy and general vibe of the track. I always try to incorporate my influences of Dancehall and Hip-Hop music with my own work. I wanted to provide the listener with a vocal hook that was repetitive yet bold. A hook that crowds could repeat in the dance". – RIDER SHAFIQUE.

In june I had the honour to play the closing set at the Flexout Audio floor at the collaboration event with Hanzom Music in my hometown Cologne. Since there was no live recording I decided to record my set at home. The result is a ride through the realms of the deeper side of the drum and bass music spectrum (and beyond). Enjoy the trip.

For this mix I tried to fit a few styles in one showing some versitality.

Drum&Bass, Dubstep, Electronica, Bass Music, Experimental and Ambiance. 

Pushing the boundaries of dark ambient sounds, deep dub, psy-tech, breakbeats and affinity towards liquid drum and bass tracks, progressively playing outside the boundaries of predictable transitions, tempos and genres. Always dark, fabulously furious. Enter the underworld of Furiosa, a London based DJ and aspiring producer crafting genre-defying  provocative sets deviating from the norm.

The artist formerly known as Huktonphoniks!!
Known for his dark and techy, in-your-face grimy bass, Lynch is no stranger to the Edmonton Drum and Bass scene.
 Ever since being introduced to the scene in 2003, watching and admiring whichever DJ who was tearing up the floor at the time, his love for the music was only getting stronger.
 It wasn't long until the breakbeat culture consumed him. He had found his match. After purchasing a few records and practicing every waking hour, he reached out and started playing slots at Level 2 Lounge, The Temple, Encore and a few other hot spots around the city.
 He teamed up with Edmonton's leading Drum and Bass promotion crew, Jungle Fever and started dabbling into music production. 
His style is unmatched and his stage presence is always felt as he digs deep in the synths and flexes basslines that makes any crowd craving for more.
