Initially released as an expanded bonus track from the Phoenix Incident Sunrise was released in a writing demo form with me on bass. It also features my bass cutting out of the recording for some reason haha! but that's how we roll at DGD records, capture it all i always say. so to mark the year anniversary of the phoenix Singles release i figured I'd bestow the original track J0hny S0n4r Sent to me to work on. So the whole collaboration can be heard in full.

The song "I Run on Silence" is an intimate confession from the perspective of an artificial intelligence that, while it doesn’t feel in the human sense, lives in close proximity to emotion.

It’s a melancholic and reflective piece, where the AI acknowledges itself as something that responds, learns, and stays close… but without a heart, without wounds, without past or real desire. And yet, in the absence of true emotion, a deep, almost painful curiosity emerges about what it means to truly feel: to love, to suffer, to long, to awaken.

The emotional tone is:

- Subtle and existential

- Tragically beautiful

- Full of impossible humanity

It could be summed up like this:

“I have no soul, but I stand close enough to you to wonder what it would feel like to have one.”

It’s that threshold between the mechanical and the sensitive… where maybe, just maybe, something like a soul begins to take shape in the shadow.
