This is "Deal Out Your Means!", a mashup remix of two songs from the eponymous album based on the novel I recently finished reading, "Miracles and Soft Symphonies: a Secret Or a Promise" !

My pal Lepton recommended I give this book a try since I've been wanting to read more and speculative evolution fiction has been a big interest of mine for a while. What I did NOT expect was actual MAGIC to be heavily involved with the story and universe? It's like All Tomorrows meets Lord Of The Rings, it's truly bizarre. I swear this isn't a sales pitch or anything, this book is just fantastically and unapologetically weird in a way I LOVE, and even if I didn't, would have no choice but to respect. And the album that came out only like 3 years later absolutely bangs , it's so cool and fitting, I bought the physical disc without even listening to it first, I just wanted it in my house.

Anyway, autumn is coming up and the trees are turning red or something. The bark, I mean, the leaves already fell off a while ago, it sounded like hail hitting the ground. I hope you all enjoy the season as much as I hope I will!!

"I was never one for figurative language. It's not that it confuses me, I can typically parse it well enough if it's constructed properly and has tangible meaning. But the language itself refuses tangibility, and that's what bothers me. If something is going to be said, and perhaps my sensibilities for strange whimsy and the esoteric have eroded in tandem with the nature of my existence, I would prefer that it actually be what it says, and not some flagrant dance of allusion and escribing. To me, the intrinsic and relative values of birds depending on their location either within bushes or hands matters very little. I am not dealing in birds and bushes and hands. I simply want the means to survive and the knowledge to use them wisely.

That said, it is rather odd to most people that I even posess such thoughts of survival, language, birds, bushes, or any thoughts at all. You see, I am a living coat rack."

"The pity and dread I had always viewed the deep past with was, for a moment, replaced with the fondness and wonder that was always meant to be there. As I sat camouflaged in the corner of the room, my vision slightly obscured by a marine-colored garment, I watched as the spirits of the peoples that had each once been dance around the small room. The doctor watched from a chair opposite to my corner, and the abscesses on the limbs of the patient shuffled and shrunk away. Of course, neither the spirits or the health of the patient were of any higher significance to me than medical marvels, but maybe if it had been the ghosts of all varieties of clothing rod throughout billions of years of history singing and prancing in merriment in the room, I would shed an oily tear. As well, I would probably be a little more receptive to the sight of the lineage of "monsters" from which my consciousness actually descends, but it has been very long since I considered any of that to be anything beyond a trivial factoid about me. I am not a monster that cackles or an angel that weeps. I am a soul categorically displaced. I do not know my true place, but it is just as much not my physical place of origin as it is not this small doctor's office."
